I am planning on setting this up in our cinema and games room as I think it will give such a great effect! Obviously the job will fall to hubby as I am rubbish at DIY so will report back as to how easy it is to fit! But love that you can have it set to different colours etc and even better that it comes with a remote so you can just sit back and relax and set it to how you want it. I think it will be really effective and cant wait for friends and family to see.

This setup definitely isn't for the fainthearted especially if you're planning to install it into a car roof or ceiling. I used the kit to create a wall feature instead, and it worked well using large sheets of plywood that I had available. While the system itself is fairly straightforward, getting the best results really comes down to careful planning. I started by marking out the positions for each fibre strand, then drilled slightly undersized holes to ensure a snug fit. I fed the fibres through in groups and secured each one with a dab of hot glue. Once everything was in place, I mounted the panels, connected the cables to the alternator unit, and powered it up. The remote control feels a bit unsubstantial, but it gets the job done. It offers a full range of RGB colours, flashing modes, brightness control, and even a sound-reactive mode where the lights respond to ambient noise - great fun for parties or mood lighting. Overall, while the setup takes time and patience, the final result was worth it. The effect is stunning and adds a unique touch to any space.
