Absolutely fantastic piece of equipment
I own several 3d printers but also have a resin printer and this has been a lot of fun to use.It comes with everything you need to start scanning and the setup is super simple. I won't get into those details as I'm sure you just want to know if it is worth the price tag?I've got to say its not something I would usually purchase but there isn't anything else like this on the market.I've been using it to scan car parts that are small and can't be replaced or bought with ease.I will update this review as time goes on! But I have to say from the things I've scanned and printed, it works perfectly.

Very good, limited by the tripod
Well the scanner is good. Gives great results and pleased with the details. I would have given it 5 stars. However, why they didn’t make it a standard tripod fit is beyond me, sometimes it needs to be slightly higher or lower so I thought no problem I will jest buy a better adjustable tripod. No, it’s not a standard fit. So I have resigned to using books to adjust height. It’s a shame they don’t have an option for a better adjustable tripod. Hence only 4 stars from me

Amazing
Well packed and arrived quickly.Been 3D printing for a number of years and this is my very first time actually 3D scanning and i love it!Letts start off with the way the Revopoint MINI 2 is packed and presented. It comes in a Revopoint branded brown box with one of the nicest storage cases i have seen inside. You open the storage case and are greeted by a really well thought out storage solution to keep your scanner safe and all of its components to hand. And it has all been pre-packed for you. This is a really nice touch from Revopoint and it shows they care about their product.Taking everything out of the storage case you do notice the quality of the items supplied, The scanning unit feels substantial, the tripod robust and the cables are nice and thick. The setup of the unit and the installation of the software was a breeze, i used my phone to use the scanner just because i found it easier not to have it plugged into my computer as i had run out of space on my desk, but it doesn't stop you from using your PC to process the model afterwards as the software does give you the option to transfer the model to your PC post processing, very handy if your phone is not up to it, anyway i digress. The Revo Scan software was very easy to use with a nice little introduction to the software and what the major functions do and where to find them, also gives you a quick introduction into scanning objects themselves and what to look for whilst scanning such as when you are looking at the preview window, if you see a blue area then it is over exposed, and also keeping an eye on the meter that tells you if you are to close or to fare away. Overall i found the software very intuitive and easy to use.For my first scan i used the plaster bust that was included in the kit on the turntable that is also supplied in the kit. The turnstile rotates at a very consistent rate allowing you to actually set up exposure and distance with minimal adjustment. I was very surprised how my first scan come out as it was perfect. I then scanned and printed a pre-printed Benchy in white PLA and again perfect results.Processing the model was as easy as clicking a button on the screen and then watching the progress bar.If you do find there are holes or you want to soften some areas, this can all be done within the Revo Scan software and i can say again it was very easy to do.Once processing has completed the model can be exported as and STL. file ready to put into your slicer.Overall my first experience with 3D scanning was pleasantly easy, achieving some really good results on my first go, was this down to Revopoint?, i really dont know as this is my first time and not used any other manufacture. But what i can say is Revopoint has a well presented, well thought out product that they obviously care about and also care about the end user experience by giving clear instruction on how to use their product. Yes it is expensive, but as they say "you get what you pay for", and in my opinion you defiantly get the bang for your buck. Just wish more manufactures would take note of the attention to detail RevoPoint have.
