Levi's Women's Vintage Overalls (Also Available in Plus)

Love these so much. I hadn't had overalls in years and these are perfect for me as a 57 year old woman who wants all that overalls are but doesn't want to be swimming in the loose version. I am 5'2" and they are fine if I wear boots or my New Balance sneakers. I plan on hemming them an inch or two so I can wear them with lower heeled shoes. I am 155lbs. and the medium works well. They are thick like a pair of Levi jeans so they won't be great for summer. I get so many complements when I wear them! True 100% cotton.

I purchased these Levi’s overalls to have as an easy casual outfit I can just throw on. I am very satisfied with the quality, style, and fit. I am normally a size small in most clothes but I went with a size large to get an oversized look and I’m so happy I did! The color is true to the image and the overalls have a slight stretch to them. I’m very happy with this purchase and love the Levi’s brand! Their pieces are high quality and will last for many years to come! I definitely recommend!

These are the best overalls! I'd love to get more in different colors. The legs are fairly wide but the waist fits true to size and I think overall the silhouette is good. It's not meant to be super flattering so the cut is slightly boxy and roomy but I'm grateful that it hides my problem areas like my belly while looking quirky and cute. It's too long for me but I roll up the cuffs. I think the only nit-picky thing I have is after a long day of wearing, I found the straps started to bother me. It was pulling at the back of my shoulders in a way that was a bit uncomfortable. I'm petite so I had to pull the straps pretty tight or the front flap would bubble out. That may have impacted how the straps were pulling on me since the straps come together in a Y shaped on the back.

One of the buttons on the bib was super glued on instead of properly punched though and secured. Tons of glue around it, you can tell it was broken. It fell off after the first wash! I usually am not one to leave a bad review. I love these overalls and it sucks to pay 50 bucks or more for a broken pair. My husband ordered early for a holiday, so I didnt wear them and figure this out in the return window. I hope the seller reaches out and fixes this. Unfortunately, I think they are selling broken products. I would NOT order these online. But I will update if they send a replacement or refund.

This is important if you’re planning to purchase these: You will get a completely different garment depending on what color you select. The “new chill day” color is a great option for summer, since the material is extremely light and looks worn-out; it’s so light that I don’t recommend cuffing them, as the cuff is awkward and won’t hold because the material is so thin. This one arrived smelling like dryer sheets, which made me wonder if the wore-out appearance is present because it’s used. If you get the “mesh” colored one, it’s basically the stone-washed color that haunted us in the 80s, and extremely thick, stiff denim. The stiffness of the denim was so bad that the front bib folded into a harsh v before I adjusted the buckles, and even then I couldn’t wait to get it back into the box for a return. This one smelled like paint thinner. “Fresh perspective” is the standard weight of denim, with a thickness that will endure things like working outdoors, but without the stiffness of the “mesh” ones. This one smelled like nothing, and was absurdly long in the legs, but I kept it, too, and cut about six inches off the bottom so they fit my legs. The sizing is also bizarre, since all options offer essentially the same waist, but radically different coverage in the chest area, and extremely long straps that will leave the buckles resting in the center of your back if you’re short. The legs are also all over the place; if I got “chill day” as a tall person it would probably be returned, since a strap adjustment is enough for me to get them almost right for my legs — and I’m 5 foot two. Definitely going to be floods if you’re over 5 foot 7. My favorite of the three (which is the “chill day” ones) leaves me with a choice of either dealing with the buckles at my back for the sake of the pants stopping at the top of my ankle, or keeping the buckles at a lower point so that the widest point of the bib fully covers my chest. If you want the buckles to survive multiple slaps around a dryer, I recommend tying socks around the buckle part to keep them safe. Chill day is absolutely not durable, but Fresh Perspective is on its second year, and I’ve only had to replace one buckle. I wish jean manufacturers would dust off their old patterns from the 90s and just make a quality product for multiple heights and a boot-cut or baggy fit again. This is the closest to that aesthetic I’ve been able to find.

Comfy

These overalls were a better product than I thought because they are made with a much heavier denim than they looked in the picture when I purchased them. I hope to wear them a lot longer. I bought a large knowing they would be big, but I wanted comfort and didn't want them to fit tight after several washes & dry. I actually wore a belt with them and it looked good. They are long and I'm not one to hem my pants, so I wore these with my cowgirl boots , looks great!

I’m 5’9, around 150 lbs and have long legs. I had my doubts buying overalls since they’d usually be high waters but these actually go down my to my ankle. These overalls are nice and lightweight so I have no trouble moving around either. Also the crotch area isn’t weird so that’s a plus. I got a size large for reference!

I love these so much! For reference I ordered them in the sand stripped pattern in a size large. Traditionally, I am a size small (sometimes medium) when it comes to clothes, (I’m about 5”7 and 135 lbs) but with Levi’s I almost always recommend sizing up if you have a bigger bum like me. I have previously purchased a pair of shortalls in a size small, and they fit okay, but are a bit more body hugging. I think due to the adjustability of the straps on these, you can size up quite a bit if you’re looking for a relaxed look. In my case I actually went up two sizes (large) and it worked out perfectly. I think you could size up by one size or staying true to size if you want a more skinny fit, but I’d say they fit a lot more like the model’s when I sized up by two. Anyways, I love them so much and will be layering them with sweaters all fall! Highly recommend. I’m only deducting one star because I wish they were more true to the sizes and fits advertised.

Based on comments here and the Levi's website, I ordered the Large. I wear size 30 Levi's jeans and I have Dickie's overalls in size Med and these fit the same. I am 5'6" and my hips are 40-41". The inseam length I was concerned about but they are just right. The shoulder straps are plenty long. Super comfy!

Well constructed, I recommend this item

These are great overalls, and the excellent quality expected from Levi's. My one quibble has to do the the straps. I am 5'7". (I bought a large for a slouchier fit, medium would have been totally fine.) The shoulder straps have a weird design to them, as far as a ratio to the rest of the overalls. For them to sit properly, I have to shorten the straps to the point the metal fastener sits on the top of my collarbone, at my neck. Because the back bib portion narrows to a point below the neck, the front straps cut very close to the throat to meet the angle. It's totally awkward and I kind of fuss with the spots a bit on both sides. Taller people may not experience this at all, so that's why I mentioned my height. Shorter people may also not experience this as the metal would feed to the back, and likely not sit on the front. However, i really like them a lot and I am hoping after several more washes this situation settles down a bit.

Exactly what I've been looking for. I got large because I wanted them to be a loose fit. In levis jeans I wear a 28 (size 6) If you're looking for a regular or snug fit, order your actual size. No stretch, these are real jean.
