Yes this type of connection will work, but I would caution using this company as they sent me out the cable today and they instead sent me a USB type-B connection. So you may not even get the item you purchased as stated in the picture.

Bought this for tethered shooting with my camera. Unfortunately it keeps dropping the connection every 2nd or 3rd shot and isn’t up to the job. Works fine if it’s sat on a desk not moving, or gaffer taped into your camera.
