OXO Good Grips Non-Slip Knife Sharpener

This sharpener is extremely compact, collapsing into a 5" smooth block for storage. It expands for use with a "rubberized" base and hand grip that prevent the sharpener from sliding across your counter or out of your hand while you are handling your sharp knife. Best of all it truly sharpens your knife with no need for vigorous movements or forced pressure. I tried it out on cheap dull knives I was about to dispose of and it worked very well. I used it on old Chicago Cutlery knives and it honed the edges well. This sharpener is extremely well designed, easy to use, and seems to be cheaper than other sharpeners at its level.

Full proof knife sharpener great alternative to a stick type sharpener. This fits neatly in my cutlery drawer where I keep my knives. Any time I pull a knife from my drawer I pull the sharpener out. 25 times in slot 1 then 25 times in slot 2. RAZOR SHARP. It's got a nice weight to it, doesn't slip or slide on the counter. GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE. Nothing worse than a dull knife. Works just as good as the 60 to 100 dollar sharpeners.

Great at what it does, but I've since learned the best way to sharpen is against the edge, not along it. Still it is cheap, convenient, easy to use, and gets knives sharp enough.

I love this knife sharpener - so simple & it remains covered thanks to the design.

I love Oxo products but they missed the mark on this one. It's okay but a bit flimsy because of the rettractable sharpening end. Not very solid.

Very impressed! I have a bunch of knives that are over 10 years old and are still in decent condition but they were dull. I sharpened them and it was like they were brand new! I highly recommend this item. It works well, it's easy to use and it makes knives Sharp like they were new. Not to mention the price is great!
