NOT a paperweight - for display / grinding / etc
Really cool product, i wasn’t expecting the etched engraving to actually be there but it is!This is NOT a paperweight, magnesium is not incredibly dense and id imagine this is mostly used for display purposes, but it can be grinded down for magnesium shavings to start a fire, etc. Very cool for any chemist to have

awesome item
this zinc is the coolest item to have, it lets you feel the material and the weight.

Gorgeous
Well formed, with sharp corners (good and bad). Extraordinarily light! It’s the perfect companion for my one inch tungsten cube.

Exactly as expected.
This was exactly as expected. I use it for a demonstration of metal density on my desk at work.

Not perfect. Good enough.
Came in good condition. It had minor flaws - dings and scratches.

It’s heavy (for an object that size)
Pick it up, heft it, don’t throw it at anyone, it wouldn’t bounce off their head, it would smash their skull. Great for self defense but not making friends. To gauge its full effect you need a cubic inch of aluminum as a contrasting element. A great gift for anyone that enjoys curiosities.

Really nice, but has the wrong density
Gold (Au) has a density of 19.3mg/cc, and tungsten (W) has a density of 19.25mg/cc. This cube is laser marked at 19.3mg/cc. I kind of want to return it, but might just live with it. Everything else about it is awesome. Others complain about the sharpness, but to me it feels like precision. Rolling the edges takes away from the true 25.4cm cube feel. PLEASE change the laser engraving to the correct density!
