GREAT PRODUCT!!!
Fantastic so far!! I installed both front and rear and have noticed a much better ride quality. Ride hight did not change because of these two being installed but did change with spacers I added on top of the struts. Function great, a little on the stiff side but overall much better ride quality. Easy to install if you are inclined with tools.

Quality for the price
Parts arrived on time, and as promised. I was a bit concerned, because the box was damaged and taped-up. But, after opening, each part was fine in its individual packaging. Installed the struts along with a set of axle shafts and hub bearings I purchased from the same seller, and all in all took about three and a half hours to replace. Rear shocks replaced a little under an hour. So far, the ride quality is noticeably better on my ,08 Silverado 1500. It still rides like a truck, but vibration dampening has improved. Time will tell, and I will recant my review if these turn out to be garbage. One recommendation though. The front struts come with their own mounting hardware, and are no good because they’re not threaded through like the original bolts. However, the nylock nuts will fit the original bolts, if you don’t want to use the clip-on threaded inserts. I installed the bolts downward, because I thought they were too close for potentially damaging the CV boots on the half shafts. Made more sense to me, and the A arm bodies were beefy enough to shield the bolts from any potential damage as well. Overall, happy with my purchase, and happy with Detroit Axle products so far. Happy wrenching.

Chinese Made! Still works great but all the Detroit talk is misleading
I ordered these for the price and they seemed like "made in America" but they are definitely made in China and sold through Detroit axel. That being said, they seemed identical to the original factory struts (2008 original) but they do seem heavier and more well built. They fit perfect and the only issue I had was that the rear shock bolt was stuck in place (not the sellers fault at all). Everything is in and feels goodand I'll update this if anything changes. So far, not bad at all for the price but I wish they would put "made in China" in the listing instead of glorifying the Detroit shipping hub.
