Does the job! Not recommended as a first time peel. Need downtime and have to wait for skin to do its thing.
I've used at home skin peels before (Ranging from Dr. Dennis Gross, Dr. Brant, and plain old chemicals) with success; It got rid of my dull old skin, improved my hormonal acne, revealed smooth supple skin. But I wanted something a bit stronger, both alpha and beta, so I purchased this. After doing a patch test, I applied it as directed: Salicylic acid first, let it dry, then add the Glycolic right on top afterwards. I only let both preparations sit for less than a minute. Wooo! It burns. Washed it off with water (tried baking soda, made it burn worse!), and applied jojoba oil. The next night I did it again, because of the weak application. My skin smoothed out, as I expected. Of course no miracles yet: still have large pores, acne scarring, and fine wrinkles. But it's a great start! After about a week of the same usage daily (light application, leaving it on for a minute), I finally left on the solutions longer. Whoah. My skin got red and inflamed and I hurriedly rinsed it off, knowing I overdid it. The next day there was a dry sheath of skin on the areas I concentrated on (Cheeks for pores, forehead for wrinkles), and the areas were still a bit red. This could not be covered with foundation! I knew this though, and luckly didn't have to work nor go out for any reason. Also, blackheads were dislodged and cysts/bumps kinda got drawn to the surface, so I had little break out areas. When the skin finally started to peel a few days later (DO NOT peel it yourself!! Resist the urge! Using your fingers to peel it off early, especially if the skin is white-ish looking, will make things much, much, much worse! I stupidly tried to dislodge an area of burned skin and oh boy, it made the area crust over like a skin injury), I had gotten called in to work, so I had no choice but to put on make up. It didn't look too good considering I had small patches of peely skin, and I was embarrassed. After all the peeling stopped, I used a microdermabrasion type scrub to finalize the job. Again, no miracles, but a big noticeable difference! My foundation glided on my skin as smoothest as it could be. There were way less blackheads, but still some gunk was drawn to the surface, so I had another tiny break out. It took a day or two after that to really, truly have the end results: Fresher, smoother skin.I actually prefer another brand over this, because their acids are integrated with other beneficial ingredients. And I'm sure Skin Obsession is making good profits, because this is basically simple chemicals (Hence the four stars). But, the job is done, and I will continue to use it. The bottles lasted me over a month, but I used it a lot. I recommend a fan brush because it won't suck up the product like cottonballs do.Use this wisely or else you will regret it, trust me. I don't recommend this as a daily peel, even though I did that. This is perfect, though, as a weekly or monthly thing. But once you do it, you can't touch your face for days. Don't even think about it, even when you have blackheads coming out, or you want to get rid of a tiny flap of dry skin. Stay indoors for a few days!! For instance, if you use it on Friday night, by Monday morning you'll likely have peeling skin and your make up will look just bad. But it's worth the downtime!

Excellent product. Works exactly as a chemical peel should.
First, if you read a review that says this product doesn’t “peel”. They do not understand how it works. Chemical peels like this glycolic acid peel dissolve the bonds that hold skin cells together and allow them to be washed away. Unlike a microdermabrasion or other exfoliating products that literally scratch the cells away. This process allows dead skin to turn over more quickly. Skin is left softer and roughness is less.Young skin turns over regularly. Older skin needs help. This product when used regularly lessens wrinkles by helping remove layers of dead skin cells. It’s about as strong as non pros can buy. It will burn a little. If you’re new, start with a lower concentration and work up. This is a legit product I have used for many years. You will NEVER see a “peel effect”. If you want that try Elmer’s glue. Not really lol

Its real, I think.
Unlike the many many many other products that claim to be even higher percentages of the acids you seek (what does that percentage mean anyway? Are we talking percent by volume, mass percent? At what temperature was the stuff brewed? All of these can mean what you see is not what you think you're getting, and that's assuming you aren't being lied to as well), this pretty unassuming, is it one of the relabled from the same facotry scams like most of the others, bottle of brown with lower percentages seems to be the real deal. Probably. The 10% salycilic acid in this set will burn you if not introduced to a more basic opposite where as others of far higher percentage have been on all day and all is well. And these two seem to beeer

go for it!
ok, so i read all reviews, which mostly were very promising and decided to give it a try. i have been fighting problem skin forever, more over i not only have acne, i have demodex, which is a skin decease and results into a lot of red pimple like spots, enormous amount of outbreaks in their worst. on top of all of that i obviously have acne scars. having said that this product is a miracle. make sure to follow all instructions and do not freak out for the next 3 days after the peal. yes it is better to do it over the weekend if you don't have anything to do because your face will look and feel like crap. the same day after the peel my face was solid red and i even good feel tiny watery bumps like from a minor skin burn. obviously i freaked out and was prepared to wake p next morning and have my face left on the pillow))it didn't go that bad, but it was very dry, itchy, peeling and uncomfortable for 3 days in my case. i applied moisturizer 2 times a day and in 3-4 days there it was, my brand new face!!!!it had a great impact on my scars, they are way less visible, and i know if to go to the salon this result would have had taken 3-5 microdermabrasion sessions!!!couple days after the peel i made clay mask, which i don't know if it's a good or bad thing, but i just love clay anyway and i think it might have put a nice finishing touch on healing. anyway, i would highly recommend this product if you want to repair scars, polish skin, maybe even get rid of some minor wrinkles. obviously DO NOT use if you have outbrakes at the moment, i didn't but i can imagine that would hurt!)))ppl here write about using it often, i set up once a month schedule for myself because it does give serious chemical reaction, it's not just gently peel off mask))good luck to everybody struggling for the glowing face!!
