When fittest the lock looked great ,very robust and well made to a high standard, however the drill provided was sub standard metal and had trouble going through hard knots in the wood,it quickly wore away and I was forced to sharpen it after it reached a depth of 10 ml ,fortunately I had a smaller drill which went through like butter,you get what you pay for,i then enlarged the hole with a round file. Apart from that I am very pleased with my purchase

Needed this for a beach hut door. Works perfectly but a little disappointed that the throw bolt does rust. Screws provided were good which was surprising. Great that the wood drill bit is provided as is good quality

Super happy with the product. It came all kitted out with all the necessary tools. It even had the drill bit needed. Easy to set up and instructions were clear and easy to follow. Good solid weight and material used. Has not yet degraded or stated to show any signs of rust. Very happy with this and will definitely be buying this again In the future.

We purchased 19th October 2024 and now on 20th December 2024 we can no longer use or rely on this lock. We have had the lock in use 20 times that being 20 guests who are renting out a room from us and this lock was used on a side gate for guests to access the room. The key has jammed in the lock 4 times now ( 4 different guests ) resulting in our guests being locked out the only way to resolve it is to go round to the other side and slide the chrome bar back manually. Luckily we have been home each time this happened and been able to let our guests in ( as the only way to get to the other side is via the main house or jumping over the 6foot fence ) but the whole idea of this was so we didn’t need to be around for access so we now can’t use it and are going to switch to a normal key lock. And in addition to the 4 people locked out several more have had trouble with it I have heard them fiddling around with it and getting frustrated. The issue is you can only remove the key when in a certain position (locked position) and there is quite a large range of motion. so you have to unlock then open gate then slide back to locked position to remove key. Then when wanting to close gate behind you again turn to unlocked close the gate and turn to locked before key will come out. I think the lock does work if used correctly I was able to figure it out and it works every time for me. But it did take me some time to clock how to use it. But clearly not everyone can figure it out and when turning and trying to pull out key they are getting it jammed and once jammed it will not turn at all. So not a very user friendly design in my opinion I have messaged retailer via Amazon feedback and am hoping we will receive a refund will update once resolved Amazon are not offering refund option maybe as now just over two months old ?

Came with everything that is required to ensure a successful and aesthetic installation, including suitable drill bit to accommodate the lock barrel. Arrived 24 hours earlier than expected. All in all excellent service.

Good security on a budget ,able to get this on without to much fuss and quickly. Only downside was the bit that come with it was a bit dull but they supplied one so you can’t be to critical.

I bought this item to replace an identical lock purchased in May 2023 for a garden gate. The first lock failed recently in that the spring inside the (spring loaded) barrel broke meaning that the key could not operate the lock from the inside. It therefore lasted just over 2 years but I might just have been unlucky? The square shaped bolt purports to be stainless steel but it was quite prone to surface rusting. This was mostly removed by rubbing it off using WD40. Overall, the lock works well enough and the new lock came complete with the correct sized drill bit to make hole for the barrel to fit through my gate. I had to purchase one separately for the old lock. Be careful in choosing the correct depth of lock for your application. I originally got the 50mm size which was a little short necessitating pfaffing about rebating the outside keyhole - see pics. I would have considered an alternative but the gate was already drilled and ready to accept a direct replacement so I took the easy way! Hopefully this one lasts longer. To be fair, my brother in law has the same lock on his gate and that is still good after around five years.

Excellent. No more stiff bolts due to wood swelling in the winter.
