Ideal for home cooking. It has a nice weight and balance. The pricing is very good. you would normally expect to pay a lot more for a knife of this quality. The only negative is the angle of the edge. But that is purely professional bias, as most knifes are ground to the same angle. When buying a knife like this especially for home use. It is something that will last many years when looked after. I should say how I formed my opinion. I was a butcher for20 years and the worked in the fish industry for a further 7. I was in contact with the best chef's in the Southwest. Where I learnt many things and also taught them things they didn't know. So when you get someone for a professional background saying a product is good. That they purchased rather than given for free, to promote. You can gangrene that person is giving you an unbiased opinion of the product ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Cut Above! *by M***R on 31 March 2025* If it's remembered that genuine Japanese knives start at about a hundred quid for the most basic, this equivalent has to be classed as a bargain. Not just that, but ergonomically, the way it fits the hand and the cutting strokes level of control is extremely good. The handle is wooden, riveted round a steel haft, but sturdy and the flat blade is hammered for strength with a smooth sharpness of cut easy to feel and see. Even the presentation box is classy. Pound for pound, for amateur to intermediate cooks, this knife is excellent in my opinion and saves a fortune on the more expensive counterparts, it's quality evident. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well worth the money *by M***. on 23 September 2024* I was a bit unsure buying knives online but following a read through the reviews I decided on this one. I am suitably impressed by the quality of the packaging, wrapped in multiple layers with a very nice blade cover, and a beautifully balanced blade.
