It has proven to be quite effective for its primary use with fabric. The tool and fasteners worked seamlessly together, making the process of installing snaps on fabric straightforward and hassle-free. However, I encountered some challenges when using the tool with 2mm thick leather. The snap fasteners did not easily penetrate the leather on their own, and would bend and not lock into the other side when using the crimping tool. To get the tool to work effectively, I had to first hammer the fasteners into the leather to create an initial indentation before using the crimp tool. This extra step was necessary to ensure that the snaps were properly set and secure. While the tool performs well for fabric applications, those looking to use it with thicker materials like leather should be prepared for some additional manual preparation. Despite this, the overall quality of the tool and its effectiveness with fabric make it a good addition to my toolkit, especially for lighter and more straightforward projects.

Wonderful kit. Not only does it have everything you need to use it immediately it also has clear instructions which include pictures for easy understanding. It’s definitely worth the money and a really nice tool for costume making.

This is a little difficult to figure out and I’ve had issues with attaching the female end. I have to do it in a way other than in the directions because the prongs that lock it in won’t line up property, so I have to finesse it. Other than that I think it’s worth the price.

These snaps could not handle 2 layers of cotton and a thin layer of interfacing. The pliers themself does not line up, making the snaps off center. Then, the snap quality itself is poor. I was using these for a toddler romper pattern and it didn’t survive installation (4 sets of snaps took over 20 times to get some halfway on) The female end came unattached while putting the outfit on and the male end of the other snap was still attached to the female end, but had lost the prongs. I would not recommend these unless you are going through a single layer of really thin fabric. Do not waste your money. I would love a refund

Item did not work well at all. There are a lot of snaps that come in the kit, but the pliers did not work well at all. The rub sockets to hold the snaps kept falling off. The snap parts that come with the kit are very low quality and won't stand up to fabric unless it's very thin. For the snaps that I could install, it was very difficult to pull that back apart to use properly. While the price was compelling, don't waste your time or money on this item.

I decided that I would like to learn how to add snaps to clothing so I can make myself a pretty dress that has snap front closure. I am very glad that I bought this kit. I can make so many snaps with this and it's very easy to use. The instructions are clear and concise. I appreciate the photosshowing the concave and convex of the female fitting.

They work ok. But the non-male /female part doesn’t always work. It can leave some of the “teeth” bent to the outside of the piece it pierces.

I’m a mom of 11, and this snap fastener kit has been perfect for upcycling oversized t-shirts into rompers for my baby and toddlers. It’s super easy to use—even if you’re not super crafty—and the price is great for how much you get. Total win for anyone making their own clothes!

Nachtrag: nachdem ich unzufrieden mit der Zange war, hatte mich der der Verkäufer kontaktiert und mir den Gesamtpreis erstattet. Dieses nenne ich einen sehr guten Kundenservice und muss meine Bewerbung revidieren, zumindest hat der Verkäufer 5 Sterne verdient. Dankeschön. Die ersten 10 Nieten klappten so einigermaßen, danach war die die Zange , die sich wie Werkzeug von der Kirmes Schießbude anfühlt, so verzogen das danach keine vernünftige Nietverbindung mehr möglich war. Da ist es wieder, wer billig kauft , kauft zweimal.
