Insta360 3-prong to 1/4-inch adapter

I recently purchased the Insta360 3-prong to 1/4-inch Adapter and couldn’t be happier with its performance and versatility. It’s okay but not great. Even with a tight turn camera can still be moved. Brought as back up so hopefully I won’t need it but worth getting as a spare.

Despite this being a core part of many accessories, insta360 claim that it is not in fact safe to use with the x5 (which their site states it is compatible with). This does require a 2-prong to 1/4” connector which can’t be bought separately, but when you ask insta about it they say this adapter shouldn’t be used and you should connect to the 1/4” screw. Stay away from any accessory that features this connection, since they have said it’s not suitable and risks damage, and I’ve included the email from them where they have stated this and noted the risks from using this product and the required connector.
