Vital Pastel Blue Filter Bottle

Great bottle and tastes filtered as expected. Makes me drink more overall!

Filter bottle absolutely brilliant

Bought this despite a number of negative reviews as I own other Brita products and have never had a bad experience. Other reviews mention leaks. Nope. The O-rings seal perfectly and when closed fully, the (rather large) lid pushes down the drinking spout to seal the cap, preventing it from leaking. No surprise liquid in the lid and no amount of turning the bottle upside-down or shaking makes this bottle leak. Maybe a drop or two on the drinking spout if shaken vigourously but not enough to prevent me using the bottle for its intended purpose. If yours leaks, return it; as it's either missing a seal or has faulty moulding. Also mentioned as a negative, is a loud "sucking" noise when drinking from the bottle. Following the instructions and immersing the filter in warm water for a minute or two before fitting and I'm not having to sip too hard to get fresh water. Certainly no loud sucking noises. I certainly wouldn't feel self-concious drinking from this in company. When pushed lightly against the neck of the bottle, the lid locks in place, so it doesn't try to swing shut onto your face when drinking. Again, not difficult to work out. Difficult to open with one hand? A thumb, pressed under the locking latch and pushed upward, pops the lid open eassily with one hand. Were it any easier, the lid might pop open unexpectedly. Difficult to fill? Unscrew the entire coloured section and fill it through the open bottle neck before screwing the entire assembly back on. Trying to fill the bottle with the filter in place is bound to result in tears. Sure, there are no English instructions supplied but just how difficult is it to follow the enclosed picotograms? Those concerned about cleaning the filter, shouldn't be filling this from puddles and streams. This is designed to filter tap water. This product isn't designed as a survival product or for use filtering sea-water. Submersing the filter in boiling water for a few minutes should be more than sufficient to clean it. Maybe mark the filter and ensure it's re-inserted the same way as when initially fitted. A one-litre bottle would be nice, along with English instructions for those who need them. Other than this, it's a nice-looking bottle with no negatives.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Is fine for what it does, however after you take a drink be prepared for overflow to occur and pool around the mouth peice ready for when you pick it up again and get soaked if you dont remember to check.
