Red Sign Momentary Emergency Stop Weatherproof Push Button Switch 660V with Box

I don't know that this is actually rated for real industrial use as an emergency button, but it works great for something that looks like that for Halloween prop use. We bought it for for a show as a big "Do not push the button" button and people loved it. It is big and red and practically BEGS to be pushed. There was lettering on the one we got, but it was printed in soluble ink so a little isopropyl alcohol washed it right off, leaving it looking like the picture. As far as function goes, it is just a simple normally open button. There's no connection until it is pressed, and once you press it in a little (doesn't need to go all the way) it connects and lets current flow. Works great with prop controllers.

Nice switch with momentary contacts and large screw terminals. My use was low voltage and current so it's great for that. Heavy plastic so it should hold up well.

I bought these to use as limit switches on a sliding gate. If for some reason the sensing mechanism fails, the gate would potentially just run off the rails. Any attempt to run past a safe point makes a metal arm impact the switch, so cutting power to the gate motor and preventing any further movement. These switches are large, solid, well sealed from the elements and waterproof. They do the job perfectly.

Not 100% as shown in photo, but button does work. Says "emergency stop", not blank. Build is pretty solid. Feels like a solid block of plastic. However, do not feel that the pop-outs for wiring were very intuitive, ended up using a die grinder, pretty sure that's the wrong tool. Bent a piece of steel and have used it as a gag item at my desk. Cannot offer commentary on industrial uses.

This is a bit unconventional but I bought this for a gift for my son who just loves pushing buttons!! It was perfect. If you were making a DIY busy board or sensory board, this is a great option.

When my standard Chamberlain 3-button opener remote stopped working, I decided to look for something out of the ordinary to replace it. This switch and box work PERFECTLY, have a huge target, and can withstand anyone pressing as hard as they can. Is it overkill? Not a single bit. Plus, it looks really cool in my garage.

The image is misleading as it comes with “PRESS FOR EMERGENCY STOP” engraved on it. Defeated my intended purpose of this purchase, so it was returned. The product will work as intended and is of high quality however.

Der Schalter entspricht nicht IP 65, obwohl es angegeben ist. Nach Montage an einer geschützter Stelle im Außenbereich ist er bei normalem Regen abgesoffen und hat einen Kurzschluss im Eltako ausgelöst. Das gesamte Innenleben war einen Monat nach Montage und 3 x Regen völlig vergammelt und korrodiert. Nur innen verwenden oder Finger weg!
