WE HAVE JUST STARTED USING THIS BOOK AND I FIND IT VERY CLEAR, EXACTLY HOW I LIKE IT FOR MY HOME SCHOOLED NINE YEAR OLD.

I was disappointed to discover that this is still much the same book that was published 30 years ago. Aimed at 10-12 year olds it provides brief explanations of each topic followed by a number of exercises that consist of 20-30 similar questions each. No development, no self checking, no alternative approaches. Boring for bright pupils and frustrating for those that don't "get" the topic being taught.Despite its age there are still errors in the questions. In addition the drawings are poor and explanations of each concept unengaging.This will help put modern kids of all abilities off maths at an early stageEducation and the National Curiculum have moved on since this was written - if you must buy it then please use it sparingly as support material and not the core learning tool.

Das Buch beinhaltet super gute Aufgaben und ist äußerst umfangreich. Es ist gut verarbeitet und nahezu alles ist verständlich formuliert. Über den Preis kann man streiten, aber mir gefällt das Buch!
