Better than the single zone but the app is lacking
I should start by saying we've been long time Domestic AC users with a MicroAir RV thermostat upgrade. After we changed RVs we now have Furrion AC units and we're not impressed with their unit design (temp thermostat is up in the unit which we had to do hackery to make it closer to real air temp). This dual zone thermostat was our attempt to improve the disappointment. Did changing to this thermostat help? Some.Good: you can use a multi zone thermostat with a single zone unit. You can download the app and control the air from the couch or your bed (and furnace - depending on your setup).Bad: the app will always go back to Celsius no matter how many times you change it to Farenheight. You can't change the temp.reading if your temp sensor is off by a couple degrees. You also can't control the degree variation for how sensitive you want the thermostat to turn on or off the air/heat. This is a challenge in Auto mode, where the furnace temp sensor is below the thermostat and the AC Temp sensor is up in the ceiling unit.To note: our first preference was the MicroAir RV smart thermostat (which was fantastic with the Domestic) but we were very disappointed in their product when trying to use it with the Furrion. So, this unit was the most cost effective improvement we could find that would give us remote control capabilities. For the price, we made it work.
