this was worth the hype…(spoilers)
Heard great things about this one, and it doesn’t disappoint!Couple of interesting red herrings thrown around to put us off the scent and the contrasting POVs between the deceased Adrienne and Tricia is done well. Just when you start to figure stuff out you’re unsure again. At first the writing style put me off (I mean, really, Tricia? Swoon? You’re not a teenage girl with a crush.) but I soon got into it enough that I realised it was probably put on.You won’t guess where this is going, trust me. I enjoyed the slightly darker writing and how the plot was quite tightly woven into it, not your usual Frieda McFadden for sure. At least, I thought so ❤️Oh. And the ending? Whoo…shocking indeed. But I actually liked how it’s not always the good guys who come out on top; antagonists have a reason after all and sometimes shit just happens..it’s how you deal with it that determines your fate and this book shows that.Overall, am SO glad I picked this up!

I was absolutely hooked
I’ve always enjoyed Freida McFadden’s books and this is no exception. The creepy vibe begins as soon as Tricia and Ethan arrive at the house of the missing psychiatrist, and it only escalates throughout. The characters are described and developed amazingly to a point where you can sense twists coming but in no way guess what they may be.The only reason why I’ve missed one star is that I didn’t entirely connect with any of the characters, but then I think this was maybe intentional by the author.I’d definitely recommend this book!

More than a twist! Great read
I found this author by chance when I left my kindle on a flight to Greece in Nov 24, and had to find something to read at pur accommodation. I found The Housemaid and was hooked! I have read ao many of her books now, and thought I might be able to second guess the twist, but I didn’t see not one but two in this book! Bravo! Next one set up to start and read!

Not the best book she’s written
I have read all of The Housekeeper series and Inmate and enjoyed them However, Never Lie was disappointing. I didn’t like any of the characters. Some parts dragged while other parts were rushed or didn’t make sense. I found myself getting bored in some areas. There is a good twist to the story but I feel like the rest of the story could’ve been written better,by the time I got to the twist, I was fed up.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Twisty, Addictive, and Impossible to Put Down!Never Lie by Freida McFadden is a psychological thriller that grabs you from page one and doesn’t let go. The premise—a couple trapped in a snowstorm inside an abandoned house that once belonged to a missing psychiatrist—is creepy, clever, and completely compelling.McFadden does an incredible job building suspense and layering the story with secrets, lies, and twists you won’t see coming. Just when you think you know what’s going on, she flips the script in the most satisfying way. The dual timelines are expertly handled, and the pacing is tight, with just enough clues to keep you frantically turning pages. The ending? Jaw-dropping. It’s one of those reveals that makes you want to go back and reread the book just to catch what you missed. If you love thrillers with an eerie setting, unreliable characters, and mind-blowing twists, Never Lie is a must-read. Freida McFadden never lies.

Gripping twister!
I enjoyed reading this book, my mind working throughout as I attempted to identify the clues and red herrings liberally scattered. Nice to find an interesting finale that didn't feel contrived and was entirely appropriate for the rest of the story. Some may feel there are one or two inconsistencies, but perhaps the psychological nature of what is being dealt with can explain this thinking.Would certainly recommend to someone that enjoys a twisting tale!
