Q: What is needed to mix in to make the cakes?

pancakes? it says to just add water, I add 1 egg per cup of mix, it makes them lighter and fluffier. This is the best pancake mix I have found, and I have tried them all..

To make the full 2 pound box of our Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix, you'll want to use between 5 and 6 cups of water. We recommend adding 5 cups of water, and then stirring in the remaining cup slowly until the batter is the consistency you're looking for. - Katy, Consumer Relations

Q: Is the product in a plastic bag, inside the box? or is it just in the box?

The mix is in a sort of thick waxed paper that crinkles when closed. I don't think plastic crinkles.

Q: What are the Ingredients

I know this is an old question, however, other people may want to know. Plus, I hate when people don’t technically answer the question. Especially when it’s the manufacturer. So I went and got the ingredients off their website. Which, unfortunately, doesn’t really help all that much when buying online. Take special note of the last line. INGREDIENTS: Enriched bleached flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), imitation blueberry pieces (dextrose, palm oil, enriched bleached flour [wheat flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid], natural and artificial flavor, citric acid, cellulose gum, blue 2, red 40, blue 1), sugar, leavening (baking soda, monocalcium phosphate), dextrose, soybean oil, salt, natural and artificial flavors (contains blueberry juice solids). CONTAINS: Wheat. May contain milk, eggs, soy and tree nuts. Refer to the package for the most current ingredient information.
