Great pad for drawing and useful for all skill levels

I bought this drawing pad for my daughter, who is studying painting, and she really loves it. The paper is thick, smooth, and works great with pencils and charcoal. It’s a nice size for practicing and creating detailed artwork. The quality exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely buy it again.

This drawing paper is a revelation for anyone who takes their sketches seriously. This is my go-to pad for field sketching. The paper is the right weight and tooth, and the pad fits well in one hand so I can sketch while standing. I wish a midtone version were readily available.

I use art as a way to relieve stress and let my imagination take over for a while, and these pads have been great for little self-guided art meditation sessions in the home, office, or outdoors. I purchased my first pad intending to use it with graphite media, but also ended up testing it with alcohol- and water-based markers, as well as watercolors. As you can see in the photo, even some wet-on-wet watercolor work (with Staedtler Ergosoft Watercolor pencils) does not cause enough buckling to really affect the presentation, but you can tell that the paper has been used for watercolor. I was very impressed by this resilient property of the paper. Regarding alcohol-based markers, you can see some marks on the top of the paper in the attached photo; this is bleed-through from alcohol-based Mepxy markers. Considering how much I used them on the preceding page, and the fact that they were very dark grays (like 08 and 09) this isn't very significant, but in the future I'd probably just put a paper underneath any pages used with this medium. There's also enough tooth in the paper to take a good amount of blending and shading with colored pencils and other media. I really appreciate this fact, ever since I found out that the cause of my colored pencil woes (with streaking and globbing) was not due to the pencils themselves but the paper--I had been using bristol-type surfaces in the past, since I had done a lot of marker work. I find the wire binding strong enough to stand up to being carried around in a bag or backpack. No significant bending has occurred. The corner tips of the pages tend to darken over time if you keep them in a bag, but that's OK with me. There are only 24 pages, but each page can do as much as you need it to. You can plan a city, or illustrate a short biography, start a fire, or compose a love note with each page, and it serves its purpose. It's worth the cost. Overall I would highly recommend this paper and will purchase it again.

Este cuaderno es genial para dibujar. A mi me gusta en especial dibujar con pilot gtec en este cuaderno porque la calidad de las hojas no es muy rugosa pero la tinta no resbala. Llegó muchísimo antes de lo esperado
