An incredible FPV drone from the industry leader
The DJI Avata 2 Fly More Combo has exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment you take it out of the box, it’s clear you’re using a premium product. The build quality is exceptional, the flying experience is incredibly smooth, and the image quality is absolutely stunning. DJI continues to prove why it’s considered the benchmark in the consumer drone industry. The software, flight stability, obstacle sensing, transmission quality, and overall user experience are simply on another level. Everything feels polished and reliable, allowing you to focus on enjoying the flight instead of worrying about the technology. The Fly More Combo is definitely worth it. Having three batteries dramatically extends your flight sessions, making it much more enjoyable and practical. The extra charging accessories and convenience of always having another battery ready make a huge difference. Whether you’re capturing cinematic footage or just enjoying FPV flying, the Avata 2 is an incredible machine. It’s intuitive enough for newcomers while offering plenty of performance for experienced pilots. Overall, DJI has once again delivered an outstanding product. In my opinion, they’re the best brand in the drone market, and the Avata 2 is another example of why they’ve earned that reputation. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium FPV drone.

FPV made simple
I’ve never flown a FPV drone before but DJI makes it so simple. I promise you after 10 mins in beginners mode you will be switching over to normal mode. The control is so cool and responsive. Just pull the trigger to go forward and tilt your hand left or right to steer. It’s that simple. After a hour of flying I was zipping in between buildings, cars and trees like a pro. Lastly I was worried that because I wore glasses (can’t see up close) that I wouldn’t be able to see in the goggles but it’s a non issue. Do yourself a favor and buy this drone.

DJI Avata 2 Fly More Combo FPV Drone with 4K Camera, N3 Goggles Bundle
FPV Flying Feels Like You’ve Unlocked a New Sense. The DJI Avata 2 Fly More Combo with the Goggles N3 bundle isn’t just a drone—it’s a full-on experience. The first time you put the goggles on, it feels like your perspective detaches from your body and jumps into the sky. You’re not watching the drone fly… you are the drone. The immersive FPV view is absolutely incredible. The Goggles N3 deliver a sharp, smooth live feed with very low latency, so every turn, dip, and climb feels instant and natural. Flying through tight spaces or sweeping across open areas has this cinematic, almost game-like intensity that never really gets old. It’s the kind of tech that makes you grin without realizing it. Performance-wise, the Avata 2 is fast, responsive, and surprisingly stable. It handles both aggressive maneuvers and smooth cruising with ease. The 4K camera captures crisp, vibrant footage with excellent stabilization, even when you’re pushing it hard. You can go from relaxed scenic shots to adrenaline-filled dives without sacrificing video quality. The Fly More Combo is absolutely worth it. Having multiple batteries completely changes the experience—you’re not rushing to land after a short session. Instead, you get extended flight time to really explore, practice, and enjoy what the drone can do. Battery swaps are quick, so the momentum never really stops. Another standout is how approachable it is for an FPV setup. DJI did a great job balancing power with usability. There are safety features and flight modes that make it beginner-friendly, while still leaving plenty of room for more advanced pilots to unlock its full potential. If there’s anything to keep in mind, it’s that FPV flying has a bit of a learning curve, and the immersive goggles can feel a little intense at first. But once you settle in, it becomes second nature—and honestly, a little addictive. Overall, this feels less like buying a drone and more like gaining a new way to experience the world. Fast, immersive, and ridiculously fun, the Avata 2 Fly More Combo easily earns its five stars.

A compact solution - Great addition for the run and gun film maker
At first I did not like this drone and felt I should have stuck with the conventional drones ( like my AUTEL 6k drone I crashed and replaced with this at half the price) and not gone with FVP - There are a couple of moves I love to do with the conventional drone I've not been able to master on this drone yet - But now I am finally mastering this drone , I have to say its s lot of fun, kind of like a video game experience if your into flying games. (Starfox is the last video game I played : giving away my age) PRO's A fair price / compact and easy to travel with - very little weight / an easy unit to start and get up in the sky / LOVE the on board memory - no fiddling around with cards, although you have that option / Very well constructed : hit a tree the drone fell over in the forest, I thought "it's a wrap" I double clicked the take off button, and the drone was on it's side I could see from the angle of the camera , and somehow this little sucker started up took flight, wrestled its way through branches and twigs etc and I managed to get it back in the sky and return home (impressive) so it's pretty indestructible in my experience thus far - a great design with the propellers being encased. CONS: because it is very light it feels like a cheap toy, but that may be also it's strength, but it does not handle windy skies like a heavier drone, when your flying it looks like it's wobbling around but when I check the footage it's not as bad so maybe there is some internal gimble thing happening that's adjusting for that. I can't seem to do a full Birdseye shot parallel to the ground without the camera filming a corner of the propellers in the shot. OVERALL : a great drone for the price and amazing for sports and flying like a jet pilot speeding towards a roof top and you can zoom right over the top accurately missing the roof by inches. Even with a 6k drone in my travel rig for the cinematic shots sweeping around spinning in a circle, while turning angles etc - this done has it's own applications so it's apple and oranges and there will be times you can fly this drone into one window of a house and out the other widow a lot easier than a larger drone. And the images are crisp . I will get my monies worth out this drone for sure = good job DJI

One of the Most Fun Drones I’ve Ever Flown
Because of the impending DJI embargo in the U.S., I decided to buy a second Avata 2 so that I have a full set of spare parts. This is an incredibly fun drone to fly. The FPV experience is absolutely immersive and gives you a real sense of being in the pilot’s seat. I also use this drone in my real estate photography business. It’s great for cinematic-style shots since the camera can tilt and pan. If you want dramatic reveals, dive shots, or sweeping ascents, this drone handles them beautifully. However, for smooth gimbal-style footage, you’ll want something different, such as the DJI Mavic or the Mini 4 Pro. Right now, I use the Skyrover X1 for those gimbal-based shots since it’s a good DJI clone that fills that need. The Avata 2 is quick, responsive, and rock-solid in the air. The three-battery combo gives me plenty of flight time for extended filming sessions, and swapping batteries is simple and fast. Pros: Immersive FPV flying experience Great for cinematic camera angles Excellent build quality Long flight time with the three-battery combo Perfect for dramatic motion shots and reveals Cons: Not ideal for smooth, gimbal-style filming Batteries drain quickly when flying aggressively Summary: The DJI Avata 2 is one of the most enjoyable drones I’ve ever flown. It’s fast, responsive, and perfect for creative cinematic shots or just flying for fun. It may not replace a gimbal drone for professional footage, but it adds a thrilling new dimension to drone photography.

So many issues! Don't believe the influencers.
What a huge mistake! 1.) The hand controller is absolute trash. Realize that you cannot turn the drone without forward motion with this controller. If you have any experience with drones you will find this unuseable. It's a toy, and not a good one. 2.) The transmitter comes set to UK/EU standards, to get it up to FEC transmission power you need to hack it by installing a file on the SD. Even then the range is bad. My 2017 Mavic Pro has better range. 3.) The goggles are horrible. The FOV is the smallest in the market. And the low latency doesn't matter because the refresh is terrible. Again my 10 year old technology is better. And have fun trying to get them to fit right. Made for small faces. 4.) Don't by the kit. If you have to buy this drone buy it separately. One of my batteries was shipped dead. And it was too late to return it when I discovered it. It charged up until you unplugged it from the charger then died.

A Step Up From Avata 1, But RTH Problematic
I am writing this as a relative noob who would not even *think* of flying either Avata in anything but "Normal" mode. Likes: * Feels significantly more precise than Avata 1. * Goggles 3 view seems clearer and more vivid than Goggles Integra. I have trouble imagining how this could be but it is the impression I get when I A/B my Avata with my Avata 2. * Goggles 3 see-thru feature: in color, no less. * Goggles 3 diopter adjustment makes them simpler to demonstrate to somebody. * Goggles 3 comfort level is a bit better. Goggles. Integra are plenty comfortable, but taking the weight off of the bridge of the nose is appreciated. * The padded nylon carrying bag that comes with this bundle is actually real-world useful and much appreciated. And, purely be accident, my Mini 4 Pro fits nicely as well - in the space fot the charger. * ESC beeper saved my butt when I attempted to invoke RTH in backyard brush and it wound up inverted in the weeds. * Batteries are much, much easier to insert and remove than the Avata 1's, which are hard on the fingers to say the least. * Noise Level Significantly less than Avata 1's. Not "Quiet" by any stretch of the imagination, but at least not painful or *too* offensive to bystanders. Mini 4 Pro is still my standard when innocent bystanders are in the area, but at least I can fly this one around the yard without feeling that I am unduely disturbing the neighbors. * Deployment Speed: starting with everything in a closed bag, I can unzip the bag and have this thing in the air in 45 seconds. Dislikes: * Not backwards-compatible. i.e. cannot use Mini 4 Pro with Goggles 3 and Motion Remote 3. * Object avoidence missing. One could argue that, given Avata's legendary durability, object avoidence is not needed - but that lack seems to limit RTH (as below). Seems to me like this can become a big deal if/when RTH is invoked at any significant distance and it gets hung up in some branches. * RTH is still "Dumb". i.e. if RTH is invoked under tree cover, it will rise straight up into the foliage, unlike the Mini 4, which will find an unobstructed way home. * Goggles' intra-pupillary adjustment needs tb stiffened up. As it is, they need tb readjusted with every use bc they slip out of place in the course of normal handling & storage. * Battery charger is slower than Death, in good measure because it still only charges batteries in sequence one-by-one - unlike the Hanatora charger which charges up to three of my Mini 4 Pro batteries concurrently. * Battery charger shows zero info about batteries, unlike Hantora which shows battery temp (charging a too-warm battery can damage it), voltage, %charge, and # of cycles) * Battery charger has no provision for charging to storage level (60%). I am getting about fifteen minutes of real-world flying time - that's starting at 100% and landing when battery is down to 20%. Indoor Hover Test, beginning @99%: 08:30 60% battery 14:05 30% 15:20 24% (Low Battery warning) 16:00 20% 17:00 12% (forced landing) Fix the backwards compatibility, Hantora comes out with a decent charger, and we might move up to 4 stars. EDIT: It finally dawned on me to install the latest version of DJI Assist on my PC and then update the firmware on the Avata 2, Goggles 3, and Morion Controller 3 to the latest-and-greatest. That done, the Goggles 3 and Motion Controller 3 pair and work with my Mini 4 Pro.

Won't regret if you want to have fun and specially if it is your first drone
I was not sure between camera drones and FPVs. The best candidates were Mini 4 Pro/Air 3 & Avata 2. They all have the same O4 signal system. Mini and Air drones has advantages in their camera, 360 obstacle avoidance feature (useful in manual use and vital when autonomous tracking) . All have same camera features but Mini 4 Pro has 4K vertical shot and Air 3 has a second 3X zoom lens. Air has bigger body close to Mavic series and around 750 grams where Mini is 259 and Avata is 370 grams. Heavy drones are much more stable in windy air. Avata has VR style googles which is excellent part of the fun. You feel you are flying. With this device you can control the camera view with head movements as well.
