I was looking to replace my very old and faulty clamp meter. This Kaiweets was not the cheapest and it certainly does not feel cheap. So far I have only used the DC current part of it which is the main reason for my purchase. I use it to check my solar and battery system and so far it has proved to be very useful. When you place it around a cable carrying DC current, the backlight comes on which is very handy. It has 2 DC current ranges, 0-40 amps and 0-400 amps. It has a very nice carry case and a thick instruction manual which I have not read yet. It is early days into my ownership of this meter so I can't comment on reliability, but I think it will last a long time.

It’s a bit fiddly to use and quite difficult to get round some individual cables to get a good reading.

First time im seeing a thing that has some serious thoughts put in about its usability. The mode selection dial is slightly off to one side and you can change it with the same hand you are holding the meter. There is a holder for one wire, so that you can attach the wire there and poke the battery terminals with the meter holding the wire. And it works okay. It has set-zero button. Without it error is 0.2A, with it it is 0.01A, but have to reset every time =( Reasonable for contactless measurment. Lots of other features too, like voltage, frequency, flashlight, backlight. Doesnt have any rubber bumpers, will likely crack if falls. Feels like everything is made from the same plastic. And wires get in a way, but thats with every meter. Quite bulky. Easy to hold in hand, but I bet they can make it two times smaller. Very versatile. Replaces a dozen tools. It is as good of a meter as I've seen. I just hope that they make it even better.

It works. I have a couple of similar products, but specifically needed to test/detect the flow of DC in cables from solar arrays. THIS DOES DETECT DC with the clamp meter. My other clamps only test for AC flow, but this was bought for DC. It does this and the figure seems about right (based on my inverter's app display), although I'm more into detecting 'presence' of DC for safety than the absolute value. This is a good product for this, and the low price and discount make the decision straightforward.

KAIWEETS make great diagnostic tools. Good value solid construction and great functionality for the money. Every electrician and hobbyist should have one of these tools. It's a quick and safe way of measuring current and amperage draw. It helped me diagnose a parasitic battery drain on my car. My alternator had a failed diode allowing the battery to drain back when the car was off and parked. Simply clamping this tool around the positive charging battery wire showed the drain immediately. Highly recommended brand and tool. More than payed for itself on first use.

Actually it's not bad considering the price, and reasonably accurate when comparing it's measurements to a calibrated instrument, but a pity that the User Manual will not fit in to the case cover pocket (see photo) hence only 4 stars

Initial testing good. While not the cheapest option available, it is still quite reasonably priced and seems like a much more professional tool than the lower-priced options I tried. This unit has a relatively compact size, but still has a decent heftiness feel to it - I do not mean that it is heavy, just that it does not feel like a 50 cent plastic toy. Impressively, it comes with a real significant manual written in actual English (and many other languages too) instead of some Chinese gibberish. My one minor complaint is that the manual is just a bit too large to fit into the pocket in the case intended for storage. I solved this by just tearing the 24 page English section off the top of the manual, then folding it in half, but that should not have been necessary. Another notable feature is that the test leads come with tip covers that actually have real value. Instead of just completely covering the tips so that they have to be removed to use the meter at all, these leave the very ends of the tips exposed so that the leads can be used for many basic measurements with the covers left in place (such as a quick battery test). More than just convenience, these have the added value that if you need to measure something in a tight position where you are worried that the normally long and fully exposed tip might short out on something beside you intended measurement point, the lead cover proves extra protection. I'm not sure why most modern test leads come with full plastic covers anyway; what possible protection does a bare metal probe need in storage? The accuracy specs (from the manual) seem to be acceptable for a tool in this price range: DCV +-0.5%, ACV +-0.8%, Current +-2.5%, Resistance +-1.0%

I got this for €33, and for the price it’s absolutely amazing. Even at €44, it would still be a good deal. It feels great in the hand, the clamp is solid and strong, and the screen is nice and clear with backlight. Everything works as expected and it feels sturdy overall. It could maybe use some rubber on the housing for better grip, but at this price point it’s excellent value.

Suite petit problème avec un précédent appareil , et vu avec le vendeur, pour réception d'un nouveau produit, je remets un commentaire ; donc, pince ampèremètre fonctionnant à merveille et testée ; pour courant résiduel, attendre quelques secondes pour stabiliser la mesure ; un livret d'explications est fourni en plusieurs langues et facile de compréhension ; les équipements sont au complet et faciles d'emploi ; de conception sérieuse et équipé de la housse de protection ; je ne passe pas en revue tous les moyens de contrôle, mais pour moi , amplement suffisant et pratique ; pour faire court, je recommande à 100 % ,avec un vendeur sérieux et à l'écoute du client, rare de nos jours ..

Better than expected

this was my first clamp meter.i only discovered when looking through specs that some clamp meters only read AC with the clamp part...this one reads ac and DC but the other thing I didn't know is hardly any clamp meter will give a reading when the live and neutral are in the same cable .the live has to be seperate by itself to get a reading .so need to be aware of that .otherwise good meter
