It works !
Well it worked great I had a feeling a gas pipe in the wall exactly where i thought it said yep. So in one use it paid for itself I’d say. Played with it all over the walls found old pictures pin nails and stuff. Very sensitive. It picks up metal / wood at about 100mm away then using the three lights you then can narrow it to a pin point ? It’s good worth the purchase. Worthwhile purchase

Good
Have used for locating wires and metal so far. Appears to be good accuracy and the screen gives a clear indication of distance to obstruction.

might be cheaper than most, but you still need to know what you're doing
first off, many stud and wire finders, even the high end ones are not 100% fool proof and perfect, you need to know what you are doing. I have used this to check for wires and studs in our new build. checking for studs may not give you a definitive reading, but you can expect another stud to be 40-60cm away. So if the reader thinks the centre is here with 50%, then move along, watch it drop to 0% and then again see if it goes to about the same, about 40-60cm away. Same with wires. The monitor will alert you to wires, but its never 100% certain. Use places where you know for a fact wires will be. like directly around the light switch. This should act as a control so you know what kind of readings to expect. This has served me well in a new build. I cant testify to ho well it works with older houses.

Don't bother, the video doesn't the reality if using this
Not particularly good and poor at finding studs. Buy a proper tool Ryobi or another premium product

Waste of time and money... look for a better alternative.
I'd love to do a video, but the cupboard is too confined yet perfect to demonstrate just how useless this product is. I bought it as I had recently purchased the same brand's digital meter. Just how different could their reliability be? As wide as Southampton to New York dock! So, how did I reach this conclusion you ask? In bed... literally. On my bed is a piece of 18 mm ply board, on that is the detector and my laptop. In turn, those are on top of an OTTY mattress. That is it. Image 1 (from left to right) shows the detector active... zero, zilch, denada.. not a sniff of a baton - agreed? Image 2 - it gets a twitch. Now whilst you cannot see this, imagine I am moving this detector mm by mm to the left then right. the bar scale fluctuates and then gives an edge reading.. over two inches from the edge. Image 3 - pictures never tell lies - guess what.. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes they do! Let me explain. The detector states there is a batan there - wait for it... when I hold it on both sides with one hand... What the actual ahem! I doth protest me lud, it must have a case of electronic woodworm! How can you detect a baton, only when you completely shroud the scanner with one hand - immmmmmmmmmmpossible! Moreover, how can it detect a baton if/when it doesn't twitch when simply switched on? It can't!! So, cupboard test... place it directly on top of a baton I know is there and... (see image 1). Correct, it does not detect. Ah Ha! Active deep scan (it is only plasterboard) and... zilch, zenada... Absolutely useless, as much use as a chocolate fireguard! Now check out the final image... enough said! Copper pipes? Not even when placed directly next to or on top of... Electrics, I wouldn't trust it if the other analysis is anything to go by. Water.. floods, electric, kills! Refund requested.

Confiable!
