I have it pump up the tube about 3 feet and that's enough drop on the other side to get the water to the pump about 30 feet away. This thing is a champ. Yeah, I had to put a tube off caulk on top to weigh it down because the little suction cup doesn't work on uneven concrete, but so what? My basement is dry now. If you're looking for a redneck solution, this is one that works. (Ps in pics had to expand my little catch basin when the water started landing outside it).
