Working well after several weeks
The product works well, with the sensor positioned about 16m from the unit. It was easy to set up, but has to be done in the correct order. I had to run through the process two or three times. Definitely keep the instructions (!) as you will need them if you need to set it up again later. The instructions seemed a little tricky to read, but got there in the end.All of that said, a month on it still seems to be working well and charging up properly. I’m not sure if we will hear the alarm from the rear, sitting in our front room, but it’s certainly loud enough to discourage an intruder. A good deterrent to be used in conjunction with other mechanisms/deterrents.

Great simple alarm for a garage/shed
After using the alarm for a solid 6 months or so, I must say I've been quite impressed. I use it as an alarm for my back lane single garage where internet is a bit shaky, so I needed an alarm that didn't rely on WiFi. I also use bikes so the fob system is very useful for me as I can deactivate the alarm and then open the garage door. Installation was relatively straightforward as well. The fact the alarm doesn't need to wired in at all is also really useful. The only slight issue I had was during the winter, the alarm ran out battery as obviously the days were shorter and much darker so the solar didn't work as well. I'm pleased to say this only happened once, and all I did was take the alarm off it's bracket and recharge it indoors on the mains - no issue since. The only other things to say is that when you arm/disarm the alarm, it bleeps either once or twice respectively. However this bleep is essentially the same volume as the alarm going off, so it can be quite loud - if you've got easily offended neighbours, they might get irate especially if you come home late at night. Luckily my neighbours seem fine with it.Overall this is a great little alarm and deterrent for an outdoor garage/shed. Personally I wouldn't use it for my main house or anything more substantial, but it does exactly what I wanted it to do!

Don’t waste your money
Complete waste of time and money. Alarm regularly goes off even when it’s not armed so I have now replaced it with a Yale alarm system.

Let down by the instructions
I was on the verge of returning this item, believing it was faulty, before noticing an internal on off switch which was not mentioned in the very inadequate instruction manual. Now I have managed to get it up and running, it seems excellent.

It does what it says on the packet. Effective and well built alarm system.
Arrived within the allocated time. The unit was well packaged and is as described by the seller.Well built and effective the unit is powered by solar energy, but has a 240 v plug in which is hidden at the back of the external unit, I intend to fit an inverter linked to a 120 ah battery as a backup. The provided instructions are a bit vague, I could have done with more fitting information, rather than the disassembly instructions provided, as it is not clear how the external unit is secured, it turned out after a bit of head scratching that the front cover is secured from the back with a number of screws, so once fitted the front covers cannot be removed. Also the front covers seems to be waterproof. The external box is secured to the outside wall by means of a bracket secured by screws and Rawlplugs in the wall. The unit is simply hung onto the plate/ bracket, which in my opinion leaves it vulnerable to the determined thief who could lift it off the bracket, I would have liked the unit to be secured by screws/Rawlplugs to the wall, so that it could not be removed from the wall/ bracket..Having said all that, there is an anti tamper device fitted to the external alarm unit which would activate if the unit is removed from its securing bracket. The internal motion detector ( fitted inside the building) is fitted with batteries on arrival, just pull the paper tab to activate, it is already coded to interact with the external unit, but there are advanced settings which can be set up, these instructions are included. In the past month since I fitted the unit I have found the system to be very reliable, the alarm bleeps once when set and twice when deactivated, this works on the external unit before entry to the building, when activated the 120 dB alarm should deter anyone other than determined thieves.I am happy to recommend this system.

Great kit
After trouble with Yale I opted for Wolf Guard system. So easy compared, key fobs come pre connected to unit so you only need code up the accessories.Switch on,press code button, switch the pir`s etc on one at a time set them off and they are connected to the unit, press code button again and the unit is set ready to install. I tested each unit on the table before fixing no problems. Once everything was up and fixed tested each sensor again no problem. The whole exercise took about an hour without rushing it.The only thing I would say is watch the very useful and easy video about coding on this Amazon Wolf Guard product description. You will see how easy it is to program. The siren unit also has an adapter to plug into the mains if an emergency charge is required.

Shoddy, on three counts...
I would have loved this product except for the following problems, listed in order of importance:1) The two main parts of the alarm box casing did not fit together properly, because the back section was slightly warped. There was a visible gap where rainwater could get past the thin weather gasket, when the back and front were screwed together.2) The metal clips for the key fobs (shown in the product photo) were not included.3) There were no instructions pertaining to the PIR sensor, e.g. how to open it and change the battery.
