The thermal is worth the price alone
was super doubtful about buying this product, but I researched a bit and felt if anything, the thermal part was worth it. Glad I got it. The thermal works pretty darn well. I know nothing about night vision and just wanted this for recreation and goofing around, and it’s perfect. The digital night vision/IR part works well too. If you’re not concerned about IR signature, then it’s great. I paired it with an IR torch I have and could see to the end of my neighborhood bright as day. Construction seems good, not particularly rugged, but good enough for most usage. Instructions were clear, device fired right up and I was able to use it pretty quickly. Again, I cant stress enough the thermal is the outstanding feature, along with the hardware included to get you set up very nicely. Cant speak to battery life but its held its charge well. Would purchase again.

Disappointed
Would not work. Instructions aren’t great. The buttons were cheap quality. I had high hopes for this but it wouldn’t even turn on correctly.

This isn’t just a budget option. It’s a steal.
I was seriously on the fence about buying this. You see a lot of flashy ads online, and most of the time they lead to disappointment. I figured something this affordable couldn’t possibly live up to the hype. But I gave it a shot anyway, and I’m glad I did.Right out of the box, this thing felt solid. It’s not trying to be some military-issued gear, but for civilian use, it’s more than enough. What surprised me most was how well it actually performs. The combination of digital night vision and thermal in a single unit works better than I expected. You can switch between modes or even use them together for extra clarity, which makes it incredibly versatile. The 8 thermal color modes are actually useful, not just for show. Different environments call for different heat contrasts, and this goggle lets you adjust on the fly. In open fields, certain modes help pick up movement instantly, while in wooded areas, others cut through clutter and highlight warm targets easily.Mounting it to my helmet was smooth. No weird adapters or modifications needed. I used it during both day and night airsoft matches, and honestly, it’s like having an unfair advantage. You can spot opponents way before they even know you’re there. It completely changes the way you play. Think of it like real-life wallhacks. As someone who also hikes and camps a lot, I’ve started bringing it along for night treks. Spotting animals in the distance or navigating trails in total darkness has become way easier. It’s not just a toy. It’s a serious tool for anyone who spends time outdoors. If you’re questioning whether it’s legit or just another cheap gadget, trust me, I thought the same. But it works. It works better than some units three times the price. This isn’t just a budget option. It’s a steal.

Worth more than you pay for but needs a redesign
Really good thermal vision for the price. The manual is a YouTube video that goes over some things that my units didn’t have but we’re not big deals.I bought 2 of these. One I replaced because it seems to have been an older, used unit. Regardless, the quality control is alright and everything does work. I had to unscrew the eyepiece on one of my units because there was hot glue covering part of the display. The other one has some dead pixel clusters but not large enough to really matter at the end of the day.The buttons could use some refinement, especially the placement of them. There is a recessed button that will just turn off the unit instantly instead of having to hold it. I think it might be a reset switch but I’m not sure as there is no mention about it in the paperwork or video manual. Switching thermal colors is a chore, especially when it doesn’t save the last color it was in as the button for that is in the front.

Super underrated!!
I saw some negative reviews on this and I'm here to prove otherwise. I had a great experience buying this. Night Operator's support team is flawless and provided free part replacements when I myself broke a piece through wear and tear. The 8 color modes make it so easy to change heat sensitivity based on environmental factors. The thermal is also very high FOV compared to others on the market, easily making it the most effective headworn goggle under $1000. Not to mention, the next cheapest goggle costs $1500-2000 so for $500 they are really providing a steal here. Also, it has both digital nv mode AND thermal at the same time which goggle on the market has.Best part is, being able to mount it onto my helmet for night and day airsoft games. It is so dam overpowered. You can easily spot people wayyy before they see you and it changes the dynamic of the game. Essentially, hacking in real life. Whether you're using it for hunting or any outdoor exploration, this is it.

I mean, it works.
I mean. It works. The thermal is arguably the best part of it, the night vision isn’t that great and really dependent on IR which is to be expected. The build quality isn’t the best. Really rough with some screws sticking out of the body. Some button holes were really roughly drilled out. The inside monitor has some black specs on the screen. In terms of value I think it’s priced fairly high compared to what’s out there. The only advantage it has is that it has nvg too. If they had a software update that can fuse both then this would get all 5 starts.

Can’t get any better for the price
The media could not be loaded. I’m new to anything night vision or thermal related, so I wasn’t expecting to feel like the Predator. I figured this would be some blurry, low-res gadget I’d regret buying. But honestly? It’s legit. The thermal mode is super intuitive, and switching between the different color palettes helps more than I thought. I use it for checking wildlife around my cabin and during late-night hikes. You can spot rabbits, raccoons, and the occasional coyote without even trying. The digital night vision also works surprisingly well when there’s just a bit of moonlight. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting to dip their toes into thermal tech without dropping two grand.
