Love these!!

I have had a lot of different types of freeze dried candies and this would have to be my least favorite type. I don't think it's anything wrong with the candy, it's just that this is not a good candy to freeze dry. It's still hard and crunchy. It doesn't have that light freeze dried texture that I like. The flavor is fine but also not great. The pros: The bags are resealable to help keep it fresh. The value seems good since you get 4 large bags. You get a variety of flavors.

So I'm giving it a 4 star because when I tell you these little guys are CRUNCHY. At first I didn't think I was going to like them because of how hard they are. But man. I find myself reopening one of the bags in under 10 minutes and crunching away at a few more. I also wouldn't say the "sour" ones are necessarily sour... but some of them have a tartness to them.

The starburst minis are my favorite! I stick with this company when it comes to these and when I try new ones because I strayed away once and it was terrible, I will most definitely be back, they made a loyal customer out of me, the quality is amazing, the size and quality you get are amazing perfect crunchy texture not sticky or chewy at all!

Initially, I was excited to have more freeze dried candy. I’ve always found the process to yield interesting results. But this batch didn’t quite work. The starburst-like candies became very hard, to the point that I’m a little scared to eat them because it feels like they might crack a tooth! Once the candy has been bitten open, it dissolves more easily, but it still not an easy treat to enjoy. I would not recommend this for folks with recent dental work or weak tooth enamel.

They come in thick resealable zip lock packs. The candy is fresh. The taste is good. A kin to a burst of fruit. Not a distinctive fruit, but more of a sampling of fruit. Since this is freeze dried it is airy inside with pockets. It is a light candy and dissolves in the mouth or is easy to chew. Overall a tasty and good candy. I wouldn't say these were sour though. maybe a hint of sour.

We've tried several freeze-dried candies. It's neat how you can take a familiar flavor and completely change the texture through freeze-drying. These have a familiar flavor, and if you know candy, you'll be able to figure out what candy they originated from. The flavor is very strong and fruity. It tastes good. This candy is mostly crunchy, but as you chew, it turns slightly chewy. It's a fun transition! The downside is that this candy is not a particularly good value, but as a novelty, it's hard to compare it to other candy. The description says the candy does not stick to teeth, but I found that it does get sticky as it's chewed. I would not recommend it for those with braces or other dental appliances.
