Hubs loves it
My husband decided he wanted this instead of the Steam Deck, and he absolutely loves it. It works really well and allows him to access all of his games mobile.

Good for the price if you find the A1M on sale
+155H is powerful for the package, if you need that CPU power +Thunderbolt 4 connection allows for expansion with TB4 eGPU dock +New Claw control center integrates well into Game Bar +Display quality is excellent for a 7" IPS panel +Most of the Unity android port slop I play run at 60fps on this device -155H may be too powerful. The handheld struggles running below 30W. Windows 11 24H2 parks 2 P-cores and 4 E-cores automatically when power constrained which does help. -Alchemist LPE iGPU can be poorly optimized for some games -16GB memory limits multi-tasking ability -SSD upgrade requires removal of battery and CPU heatsink Overall this thing loves to run docked at 40W TDP being used as a miniPC. It is good value if that's your primary use case. My unit started making a ticking noise from the fans after taking it on a flight but it seems to have resolved itself after a few hours. I will update if the problem re-occurs.

Not worth it
Just awful. Things are constantly not working and it needs constant updates. Embedded controller doesn't work... update. That makes the audio stop working... update. Now the LEDs flash and you cannot log in. Not worth it. I have probably spent more time updating than playing games

Great performance, almost excellent
In terms of performance, it's great with Intel Ultra 7. Thunderbolt port allows easy expansion, fast data transfer. Overall if you use it as it came from factory, it's quite good. Only complaint is the buttons on the left and right feel a little stiff. Otherwise it works well. For ordinary folks, who might need more space, buy the 1TB model or be happy with the 512gb version. For geeks or those thinking of buying it and THEN upgrading storage, DIYers - it takes a bit of effort and time to replace SSD. You have to remove a bunch of screws, heat-sink and then replace the 2230 sized SSD. Wait, that's not all. IF you're doing a clean installation of Windows, you have to disable the super annoying Intel VMD/RST controller. You will need to use some USB-C hub, connect other USB mouse + keyboard and press this combo: Entering BIOS (press F2 key while booting), go to "Advanced " tab, enter the secret menu by pressing CTRL (right) + Shift (right) + Alt (left) + F2. Then go to System Agent Configuration > VMD > Configuration VMD and disable the controller. Now if you go back to Windows installation, it will recognize the new SSD. If you choose to CLONE the original drive that came with it, then you don't have to worry about this bios stuffs. Just use any tool to clone the original. A bit disappointed why MSI made SSD upgrade a little difficult but again, unlike Apple, yes we can!

After some updates I'm impressed!
I unboxed the claw and immediately did a GeekBench 6 score. It got 1560 single-core and 8339 mult-core. This was well below the competition like the ROG Ally and the Legion Go (which I also own). The ROG Ally got 2430 single-core and 10686 multi-core out of the box. I still have further benching to do after updates for both the Ally and Go. Anyway I updated everything on the MSI Claw including the Bios and many Arc graphics drivers. I ran Geekbench 6 again and got 2316 single-core and an Ally beating 11529 mult-score. I will have to test all of them with the OneXGpu I just bought now. As far as gaming I haven't really used the Claw yet as I just got it and have been busy, so don't take my advice as far as if it can game or not. I also changed out the SSD inside from 512 to 1TB. One note on that if you do it. Make sure you go to MSI's website and download the Intel Rapid Storage F6 driver and have it on a fresh windows 11 install usb and load it when you get to the drive section. I forgot to clone the drive before I took the old one out, and that was a mistake. But if you load that F6 driver and do a clean install that will work too otherwise Windows won't recognize the new drive even though the BIOS does. I'm up and running again and happy with my CLAW!!!

awesome
Got my yesterday and couldn't keep it down, games ran smooth got First Descendant running at 66fps 1080p medium, and Suicide squad running at 36fps 1080 low have not tried any other games. but im impressed so far will change my review if anything changes. device does not get hot and the fan is by far the quietest of the bunch. ps. make sure to update the bios and the drivers it will make huge difference.

DON'T BUY THIS!!!!
I'm gonna start with I have the MSI ge66 raider. I bought it 3 years ago and I love it. I never have a problem with it and it plays everything perfectly. With that being said I was very hopeful about getting the claw. Don't do it. Took a couple hours to set up, update, and get fallout 76 with some mods installed. I played it for an hour and everything worked perfect. Smooth great graphics everything was good. Went to take a nap and let it charge for an hour. When I woke up I went to turn it on and nothing. Just a couple of slight vibrations and nothing. Went online and looked up anything and everything I can do to make it work. I tried everything except opening it and nothing worked. I called MSI customer support next. I've dealt with some bad customer support in the day but MSI was some of the worst I've ever experienced. Literally no help whatsoever and just said to return it to Amazon. Don't waste your time, money, or aggravation. I'm just gonna order the steamdeck and call it a day.

Good gaming experience
Good portable gaming. The display is good and clear with bright colours. The refresh rate has coped with my motor racing games. I have watched an action movie on it and the speakers were adequate, but headphones give much better audio. The processor is fast, apps load quickly and can run several in the background while gaming.

Works fine with most games
Actually much better than I expected, hard to tell you guys what runs and what doesn’t cos you might not all be interested in everything i play but I can say that everything I have downloaded has worked to an extent but experience some stutter may occur but if you lower the graphics settings in-game it’s still absolutely playable. Battery life during gameplay is poor but from such a small high power machine I wouldn’t expect it to last more than two hours with everything running on high settings. Makes me wonder how good the 8 AI+ is. If your looking for a handheld but don’t want to commit to either the steam deck or rog ally to then this is definitely the way to go for an ok device that has slightly more capability through a standard windows 11 set up. Don’t expect to be able to drop into a game of Warzone or marvel rivals without having to sacrifice something in the settings. All this has definitely scratched my handheld gaming itch
