Works awesome! Surprisingly awesome!
I was a little nervous about trying this product but I also hated taking the plug in and out every time we were expecting a big storm. This product has saved us from a weekly announce. It is so nice to be able to put the boat on the lift and hose it off after a day on the beach without having to worry about the bilge pump or pulling the plug!

Threads don’t match
From the picture and description it seemed like this would fit my boat plug. It did not. Not even close. The threads on it are similar to what a screw in broom handle have. I have seen a lot of boats and never saw one with this thread pattern. Returned it

Threaded attachment....No glue. No Screws
Used as garboard plug for a lift stored 21 Skiff. It works well for this application. So far I have had no water intrusion when the boat is in the water, however a little trash could prevent proper closure. Probably should not leave the boat in the water unattended for long periods.

Disappointing
Of I could install it I would love it. But the threads are way to course.

Leak free
Works perfect no leaks boat stays dry and I never have to use a plug again

seemed fragile
It looked like any debris from the lake could get caught between the ball and seat causing it to remain partially open

keeps the bilge pump from running!
I have had this in my Crown Line for two months and not a drop of water has come in thought the drain plug. When my kids and i got into a water fight with my uncles kids in his boat we both ended up having lost of water in our boats. my uncle's bilge pump ran for a good 3 minutes, mine quite as soon as I took off. once i stopped there was no water in the bilge.

Be careful using this device
My boat was left on a lift for the winter so I wanted make sure water would drain and if a cable would snap it would seal should that happen. When I put it in the water to use the boat this year it was clear this device was not sealing. looking at the picture you can see a buildup dirt, algae and corrosion which prevents it from sealing. The device was hand tightened into the boat and it required a large pipe wrench to remove it. I now have gone back to removing a standard plug and putting it back when I need to use the boat. In my option this product is junk.
