A little powerhouse of a simple coffeemaker.
All I wanted was a normal, basic, full-sized, reliable coffeemaker that just had an on/off switch. No touchscreens with endless options, LEDs, and alarms. That was the main reason I bought this specific model. It arrived today. I washed it out, filled it up with water and my normal coffee ratio of 1 heaping scoop to every four cups of water. I turned it on. It started brewing IMMEDIATELY. I mean, not like I walked into the other room and heard it start brewing soon. I mean, I turned on the switch, and it immediately started brewing. I stepped away to do something else for five minutes, and when I came back, it was already done. All 12 cups of coffee. A full pot of coffee. It was also pretty quiet. No hissing or screaming. And, it tastes delicious. I mentioned my personal coffee ratio above, and anyone who knows anything about brewing coffee knows that the temperature that you brew it at makes a big difference, and, while I don't know what temperature this coffeemaker is brewing the coffee at, it's apparently the exact correct temperature for hot-brewed coffee. Anyway, this seems to be a good, solid, productive coffeemaker. No extra whistles and streamers. Just a machine that brews good coffee. 'Nuff said.

The most basic coffee maker is a win
I wanted a coffee maker without the auto-off feature and this coffee maker delivered. It is so nice to have a fresh pot of coffee anytime I want. The heat plate keeps the coffee at the perfect temperature and the glass carafe pours the coffee just fine despite what other reviews have said. The black is like a piano finish if a plastic coffee maker could have a piano finish. Real good looking machine. Very easy to use and clean. You will not go wrong with this coffee maker if all you want is a basic coffee maker.

Good enough
Works well enough. I don't like that it doesn't have auto shut off. I do like the filter basket so I no longer have to buy filters.

Makes excellent coffee...
When my old coffee pot died, I switched to an old stove type percolator I use for camping. Did ok with it for a year or so. It was slow, didn't make the best tasting coffee, and, a lot of work to clean. This thing on the other hand, is a quality of life enhancement. 2 minutes to load it up, 10 minutes to make coffee, and 2 minutes to clean when I'm done. No $ on filters. Coffee tastes great. Simple and safe. No digital, automatic anything. Plug it in, make coffee, turn off when you're done, and unplug. No fuss, no muss, nothing but good times!

It does what it was made to do.
What can I say? IT's a basic coffee maker and that's EXACTLY what I wanted. I don't need something with alarms and wifi. I'm 29 btw, and I literally just wanted something to brew coffee and this delivers. I'm not some angry old man that hates all technology, I do hate most technology lol, but this thing DELIVERED. The coffee is made quick, it's hot, its tasty, and the system is easy to clean. 5 stars and 10/10 from me. Easy to use, looks nice, and it's not quiet or loud haha.

DEFECTIVE HOTPLATE
While I've given this coffee maker the maximum stars for flavor and ease of cleaning and use, I'd never buy it again (nor any other Mixpresso product) nor recommend it to others, based mainly upon the hotplate (where the glass carafe rests) that either arrived defective (unnoticed) or became defective within a week or so after the coffee maker was first used, which is when I first noticed it (I purchased it in January 2020 but I didn't use it for the first time until May 2020). Unlike every other manufacturer's coffee maker I've ever used, the hotplate on this one is detached from the coffee maker, slanted and, when pressed down, it springs back. I don't think this is the way it's supposed to be and I worry it's a fire hazard. Therefore, I'm throwing it away and ordering another coffee maker from a different manufacturer altogether. Based upon this experience (my first and only with Mixpresso), I have no confidence in their products. Their customer service department offered me a free replacement of this same coffee maker but, for the reason I've already explained, I don't want another coffee maker from them, I want a refund of my purchase price, which they aren't willing to do. I just want everyone who's thinking about purchasing this coffee maker to be aware of the hotplate defect on mine. My additional complaints (although, by comparison, are minor) are: 1) the white numbers on the glass carafe indicating the cup levels are difficult to read, 2) the water level indicator is on one side of the coffee maker only, not on both sides as has always been my experience with coffee makers from other manufacturers, 3) the red off/on button looks bright red even when it's in the off position, making it necessary to be on top of the coffee maker in order to make sure the last person who used it had remembered to turn it off, 4) the coffee doesn't pour into the cup without some of it falling onto the countertop. I gave this Mixpresso coffee maker a try because every Mr. Coffee coffee maker I've used lasted only 12-18 months before its innards became so clogged (despite proper cleaning) that it stopped working altogether (plus, every hotplate peeled and rusted long before the coffee maker had become totally clogged). Even with a relatively inexpensive coffee maker, I expect it to last a lot longer than 12-18 months. So I'm finished with both Mixpresso and Mr. Coffee and now I'm going to give Gevi a try (I ordered it yesterday on Amazon's website).

Worth the price but has a flaw
We needed a coffeemaker fast. Ours stopped working suddenly one morning and the hubby cannot be without his coffee. We didn't want any fancy bells and whistles because digital, preset products malfunction way too soon in our experience. We just wanted a good 12-cup coffeemaker at a good price with auto shut-off, the ability to pour a cup before it was finished brewing without spilling all over, a carafe that doesn't dribble all over while pouring, and that would arrive quickly and was not made in China. Black and Decker and Mr. Coffee are both made in China. This coffeemaker was marked down considerably for Prime Week and promised next-day delivery and it arrived on time. The best part was that it was made in the USA. I read the reviews, as I always do, and was optimistic. The coffeemaker is well-built and of good, sturdy quality that looks nice and well-made. The carafe is a nice, solid glass. It doesn't feel thin or flimsy. I like the front water fill very much. It's easier, less messy, and more convenient than rear-filling coffeemakers. The basket swings open so it's easy to put the filter and coffee in. It brews very quickly and makes a good cup of piping hot coffee and it's relatively quiet. However, the pour spout on the carafe is just ok. It does dribble a little bit when pouring but not as bad as others. Still, it could be better. What we don't like is, the feature to interrupt the stream of coffee to pour a cup before it's finished brewing doesn't work. The liquid does not stop coming out completely when you remove the carafe mid-stream and coffee comes out slow but steady all over the hot plate causing it to singe and make a mess. I really want to buy American, I'll even pay a little bit more if needed, but we need American products that beat the competition or are at least as good. Between the dribbling carafe and the defective "anti-drip" feature, I wouldn't buy this coffeemaker again I'm sad to say. Fix these two things and I'd be a fan.

Simple still exists !!!
I’m a Stone Age kind of guy when it comes to certain things. I’ve been in electronics and engineering for 40 years and I just love simple . Anything that will do as I need it to with minimal fuss will always win me over. This little coffee maker fits that bill nicely! It just makes a nice pot of coffee with minimal parts and effort . Water , coffee , close lid , press button , DONE ! You don’t have to download software to figure out how to work it. The price is a small wonder too, Basic price , basic machine , works as promised ! What’s not to like ?

It does what it does well
This is a basic coffee maker. All it does is turn on and brew coffee and keep it hot until you turn it off. It does nothing more, nothing less. It does what it does well. If you need more in a coffee maker don't buy this. If all you want is a dummy-proof coffee maker this product is a good price and has held up well so far for me.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Product only suitable for US market although appears on 240v searches in UK Tried to return through Amazon and started getting emails to send elsewhere. Was away and then had Covid, explained this and returned product- refusing refund, they’ve obviously kept product to sell to some other poor sod! Agree with comments it’s cheap and nasty looking, but couldn’t use it as wrong voltage for UK. DO NOT TRUST FOR UK PURCHASES!!!

Be careful pouring
Really nice coffee machine, the reusable filter is the main reason i bought this to be a little more eco friendly and good for budget too. The only issue is that if you pour a bit too quickly, it will pour down the coffee pot, so pour slowly. Otherwise, really good.

Great little coffee maker
Great speedy 12 cup coffee maker. Only draw back is the carafe pour is prone to spilling and leaking. Otherwise - just what our office needed!
