Very great cue, great quality, great price. Hits solid and will definitely improve your game.
For the price, I couldn't be happier! This cue is great. I ordered the 18oz and the control I have over the cue ball has really improved my game over a bar cue. People seem to be interested in this cue and can't believe the price when they ask me. I used to play in tournaments and my friends and I had a team. We were "Team Viper" because we all shot with Viper cues. The cue I used to play with was a Viper Pro Series, it was black with red inlays. After I picked this cue up and shot with it, it seemed to be muscle memory running tables. The tip of this cue I would describe as a Med-Hard. If you want even more english on the cue ball, I'd replace it with a medium tip from Kamui or Navigator. The shaft is nice quality maple and hits with minimal deflection. The joint is great quality as well. The joint reminds me of a uni-lock I used to have from Predator. If GLD Products reads this review, I'd like to know where I can get some joint protectors. During a pretty solid hit, the joint sounds very 'miscue' like. The sound isn't necessarily a bad sound, just new to me. Additionally, the joint only takes one turn to secure the butt to the shaft. The butt is very good, as the taper on the butt seems to be about the size of my old Meucci. The grip is great. Don't let the 'faux leather' scare you. I shoot hard shots often and the grip helps a ton with those shots. Additionally, the design of the inlays is amazing. This cue looks very high quality. I don't care much for the built in scuffer and I'll probably never use it. But, the look of the (as I have heard people call it) "castle bumper" is pretty unique and does it's job well. Also, GLD Products; If I wanted to buy another shaft, what joint measurement does this cue have?

Good first cue stick.
Great cue steak for the price. Love the feel of wrap. Totally improved my shots compared to playing with a house stick. Got the 19oz one and it feels so light. Definitely recommend.

Color is darker and the quick release does not take other brand shafts
Firstly, let me say that the "Faux" (fake) "leather", while not quite the same as real leather or whatever Cuetec sprays on their lower-end cues to keep cost down, but this fake stuff seems pretty nice. Tough to know how long it lasts before possibly coming apart or peeling, but out of the box it was pretty nice. But, for only about $50 it's worth considering. Just be aware that it is not leather, nor does it feel as warm and comfortable as a good leather wrap will. Be aware that you will not be able to trade out this shaft for other brands. This one will accept only about the first 2/3 of a normal quick release -- but its pin is recessed too deeply into the sleve to complete the coupling, leaving a significant gap between shaft and butt. Threads look the same, but the pin is too short.

GOOD LOOKING PLUS
THE CUE IS HANDSOME AND A QUICK RELEASE THOUGH BE FORWARNED THAT THERE ARE NO MAJOR BRAND REPLACEMENT FOR THE SHAFTS. THAT BEING SAID THERE IS A LITTLE METALLIC CLING WHEN U STRIKE THE BALL IN A HARD OR FORCEFULL MANOR. THE SHAFT IS STRAIGHT AND THE TIP ...WELL I REPLACED IT WITH A SOFT TIP MADE OF WATERBUFFALO AND THERE IS ENOUGH PRECISION TO PLAY A GOOD GAME OF NINE BALL. I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE IT IS MADE HER IN THE USA AND HAS A LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY IT HAS A FAUX LEATHER HANDLE THAT IS VERY NICE AND COMFORTABLE TO USE AND THE DESIGN IS SIMPLE AND ELEGANT FOR THOSE TIMES I WANT A AN UNSTATED CUE THAT DOES NOT DRAW TO MUCH ATTENTION AS THERE ARE A LOT OF STICKY FINGERS OUT THERE. EVEN WITH THE GLANG I AM STILL PLEASED WITH THE UNIT AND ENJOY PLAYING WITH IT.

I bought a carrying case with my Pool cue and the case is already falling a part and I haven't even used it yet. Very poor service to be even selling juke like that. I am not very happy at all. Thank you for asking.
