Awesome!
As someone juggling a busy career and parenting, I've always been on the lookout for anything that can lighten my cleaning load. Enter the Ecovacs Deebot T30S Combo—it’s been a real game-changer for my household routine. After using it for a while, I’ve got some thoughts to share, including the good, the not-so-good, and whether I’d recommend it. What I Love Awesome Cleaning Power: This little robot packs a serious punch when it comes to cleaning. It’s got powerful suction that handles everything from dust and pet hair to larger bits of debris on hardwood, carpets, and tiles. It doesn’t matter what kind of floor I’ve got—it does a great job across the board. Smart Navigation: One of the coolest things about the Deebot T30S is its smart navigation. It maps out my home really well and follows an efficient path, making sure it doesn’t miss a spot. Plus, if it needs to recharge, it remembers where it left off and picks up right where it started. No more worrying about half-done rooms! Versatile Cleaning Modes: Whether I need a deep clean for the high-traffic areas, a quick spot clean, or edge cleaning for those pesky corners, this robot has a mode for it. The app makes it super easy to switch between modes and set up a cleaning schedule, so I can have it do its thing while I’m out or even at night. Hands-Off Maintenance: I love that it pretty much takes care of itself. The auto-emptying dustbin and the self-cleaning mop station are lifesavers. The mop pads even get washed and dried automatically, so I’m not stuck dealing with dirty mop heads. Less hassle, more clean—just how I like it. Quiet Operation: Despite all that power, it’s surprisingly quiet. I can go about my day, work from home, or even have a conversation while it’s cleaning, and it doesn’t disturb me at all. It’s like it’s not even there. What Could Be Better Mopping is Just Okay: While the vacuuming is top-notch, the mopping function isn’t as impressive. After it mops, I often find myself having to go over the floors with a manual mop to get them really clean. The mop pads tend to dry out during use, which doesn’t help either. Hard-to-Find Accessories: One thing that bugs me is how difficult it is to find replacement parts, like dust bags. They’re not easily available online, and even the official site doesn’t always have them in stock. It’s a bit of a pain. Battery Life and Charging Time: If you like running it on max suction like I do, be prepared for the battery to drain pretty quickly. It takes a while to recharge, so it might need multiple sessions to clean a bigger space, which can be a drag. Collision Issues: Even though it’s supposed to avoid obstacles, I’ve noticed it still bumps into furniture a bit too often, leaving some scuffs. I’ve had to manually set up no-go zones in the app to keep my stuff safe. If you’re looking for a powerful vacuum that does a decent job at mopping too, and you don’t mind a few quirks, the Ecovacs Deebot T30S Combo is a solid pick. Its smart features and automation are huge time-savers, making it a great choice for busy households. However, if you’re really serious about mopping or if you need to easily find replacement parts, you might want to think twice. But overall, for what it offers in terms of vacuuming and convenience, I’d definitely recommend it—especially if you’re like me and just want a cleaner home without putting in too much effor

Device is severely flawed to the point of being unusable for me.
Unfortunately, this device is just plain not working. I mapped a small part of the house to get going and have been totally unsuccessful. First, I told it to clean the entire kitchen and laundry room (the only area I let it map). I cleaned about 1/4 of the area and then returned to the dock and announced it was done. Twice after that I defined a custom area that consisted of about 100 square feet of the kitchen that it had missed previously. Both times it came out of the dock and went a couple feet away, spun around two or three times cleaning a very small space (a couple square feet) and then went back to the dock announcing it was finished. It doesn't seem to clean particularly well, but I cannot get it to do enough of the room to really make a fair judgement. I have sent three emails to Ecovacs customer service --- the first after my first run where it cleaned perhaps 1/3 of the kitchen and laundry (not very well, but I withhold judgement as I did not have any cleaning solution at that time). They answered a couple questions but not the one about the lack of coverage. And two more emails (yesterday and now today) regarding the inability to get it clean the specified area. You can see from the attached screen shots the custom area asked it to clean and then the very small area it chose to actually visit. Hopefully I will get a response telling me what I am doing wrong or acknowledging that it is defective and needs to be replaced (in which case I will update this review as appropriate). But as of now I have every expectation of putting it back int the box and shipping it back to Amazon as it appears to be a useless $880+ piece of junk

Life saver
Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the DEEBOT T30S COMBO. It's a powerful all-in-one cleaning solution that tackles both my floors and furniture, saving me a significant amount of time and effort. Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons: Pros: Effortless Cleaning: Gone are the days of juggling multiple cleaning devices and constantly emptying dustbins. The DEEBOT T30S COMBO combines a robot vacuum for floors with a handheld vacuum for furniture and tight spaces, all in one convenient docking station. The auto-empty function is a game changer! The robot vacuum roams my house methodically, picking up dirt, dust, and pet hair with its strong suction. I can then seamlessly switch to the handheld vacuum for quick touch-ups on furniture, crumbs on the counter, or corners the robot might miss. No more switching machines or hunting for dustbins – it's a cleaning dream come true. Cleans Every Nook and Cranny: The DEEBOT T30S COMBO offers a truly comprehensive cleaning solution. The robot vacuum effectively tackles both carpets and hard floors, with its powerful suction ensuring a deep clean. For hard floors, the mopping feature is a revelation. The robot efficiently mops, leaving my floors sparkling clean. What truly elevates the mopping experience is the self-cleaning docking station. It automatically washes the mop pads with hot water at 158℉, eliminating bacteria and ensuring a more hygienic clean than traditional mopping. The hot air drying function ensures the mop pads are fresh and ready for the next cleaning session. And to top it all off, the auto water refill function eliminates the need to manually refill the water tank, saving me even more time and effort. Focuses on What Matters Most: A Clean Home: The DEEBOT T30S COMBO boasts several features that free me up to focus on other things while it takes care of cleaning. The auto-empty function means I don't have to worry about emptying the dustbin every cleaning session. The self-cleaning mop station washes and dries the mop pads, keeping them sanitary and ready to use. And the auto water refill function ensures the mop is always ready to go. All of these features mean I can spend less time maintaining the robot and more time enjoying a clean home. Cons: A Little Noisy: The docking station can generate some noise while emptying the dustbins and drying the mop pads. It's not an ear-splitting roar, but it's something to keep in mind, especially if you have noise sensitivities. Handheld Might Not Be for Everyone: While the handheld vacuum is a convenient addition, it doesn't have the strongest suction. It's great for quick pick-ups and light cleaning tasks, but for heavy-duty cleaning, the robot vacuum is the better choice. Overall, these are minor drawbacks for a powerful and convenient cleaning system. The DEEBOT T30S COMBO is a great investment for anyone who wants a clean home with minimal effort. It's a lifesaver for busy households and anyone who values their time. I highly recommend it!

Upgraded from a T8/N8 series - IMHO it was worth it
This review, for context, is coming from a T8/N8 series unit which I've had for several years. The T8/N8 can mop, but its manual (you put the pad in and fill) and doesn't scrub -- just wipe. The T50 has several improvements. The T8/N8 series simply can't mop unattended at all, and it has issues with other than lowest-pile carpets. You can address this by trimming the rubber brush component VERY SLIGHTLY without any material impact on its performance. It still works and has been relegated to my basement, which is all hard (engineered) surface. The T50 does a credible job on mixed-surface environments, which is why I figured it might be worth the money. It can be told to vacuum carpet first, which is a mixed bag. IMHO you want to run mopping as a completely separate operation, NOT MIXED with the other things it does, but that is MY take on it. Yours may vary. The mapping is EXTREMELY fast compared with the older models and unlike the older ones it is less-tall as it doesn't have the protruding laser sensor; its in the front and on the side. As such it will fit under couches and other furniture the other does not. That's excellent; the other had to have an exclusion zone set around some furniture or it would get severely confused and could wreck the map, which is a serious PITA. This one doesn't have that problem at all as the sensors are much closer to the floor. One caution -- CHECK THE MAP after it first sets it up. It may or may not be reasonable; if you see things that aren't run the mapping again. I had it think there was no wall in one place where there was which caused it to have a "miss" area that it has to cover in the laundry room; re-mapping resolved it immediately. It does a good job on both hard floors (engineered, tile or real wood) and carpeting/area rugs. I do not allow it to mop my real wood as I simply don't trust anything but the cleaner I use for that, by hand -- on engineered or tile its fine, but you will be very unhappy if real wood gets damaged, so use your head. Also, I found a place for the base that is on tile (since the unit has a water tank in it and thus COULD leak, a disaster on real wood.) I recommend setting up a completely separate mop cycle for those areas of your home that need to be/should be mopped, and having it vacuum FIRST. The company advertises that it can detect and avoid things it shouldn't run over (e.g. pets.) Whether it can detect something like cat puke is not yet determined..... yeah that's bad if your automated vacuum runs over and tries to pick that up; you will not like the results. Just saying. Cleaning performance is excellent; it does a bit better job of getting into corners with the articulated "grabber" brush on wood and other hard surfaces than the older model, and the anti-tangle appears to work very well (I have animals so hair was a consideration with the other and had to be checked on the main roll every week or so.) No issues with that on this model as of yet at all. Battery-life wise its considerably longer than the T8/N8 series on a charge. The other model had to recharge during an "auto" clean in my home; this one finishes with ~30% power remaining. That's nice. Its also quite a bit quieter than the T8/N8. Its not silent obviously (it IS a vacuum!) but the noise level is not bad at all. The one thing to be aware of is that the mop loading/cleaning cycle at the base is a bit loud, and goes on for a bit. The dry cycle for the pads can be heard but is not obtrusive at all. I can't comment on durability or service life right now as the unit basically brand new, which is why only four stars instead of five. One reason I stuck with Ecovacs is that on the T8/N8 models, at least, they can be reasonably disassembled and parts (motors, etc.) CAN be had once the warranty expires -- and Ecovacs appears to have done a fair bit of work in detecting potential problems with those components and erroring the unit out (thus you know it needs real work) before the driver electronics are destroyed. Having had to replace a few things over the years in my T8 that matters as otherwise you're buying a whole new robot. This model is too new to know if the secondary parts flow will be there once it starts to become important (a year or two from purchase); hopefully so, but without some sort of commitment from the company, which is never there with these things, its all third-party (and mostly from Chinese sellers, often used unit pulls too so you have to be careful as those will never have the full service life of a new part.) Price/performance is up to you. These things aren't cheap and they DO NOT replace the need for a decent stick (carpet) vacuum if you have carpeting; they reduce the need, but do not eliminate it. You have to judge if the value is there.

Sleek design
I recently purchased the Ecovacs Deebot T30S, and it has quickly become an indispensable tool for maintaining cleanliness in my home. This robot vacuum and mop combo brings advanced technology and superior functionality to the realm of automated home cleaning, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone seeking a more efficient and hands-off approach to floor care.Firstly, the design of the Deebot T30S is sleek and modern, with a compact docking station that fits unobtrusively in my home. The black finish and smooth contours give it a sophisticated look that blends well with contemporary decor. The robot itself is robustly built, reflecting its high-quality engineering.Performance-wise, the Deebot T30S excels in both vacuuming and mopping. The vacuum function features strong suction power that effectively picks up dust, debris, and pet hair from both carpets and hard floors. It navigates seamlessly around furniture and obstacles, thanks to its advanced TrueMapping technology, which uses laser-based LiDAR navigation to create an accurate map of your home. This ensures that no area is left uncleaned, and the robot can efficiently plan its cleaning path. The mopping feature is equally impressive. The Deebot T30S comes with an OZMO™ Pro oscillating mopping system that scrubs the floor, ensuring even stubborn stains are removed. The water tank is sufficiently large to cover a significant area before needing a refill, and the robot automatically returns to the dock when it needs more water or when the battery is low.One of the standout features of the Deebot T30S is its self-cleaning capabilities. The docking station not only charges the robot but also cleans the mop pads, empties the dustbin, and refills the water tank. This means I don’t have to manually intervene as often, significantly reducing maintenance efforts. The dustbin capacity is ample, and the auto-empty function ensures that I only need to dispose of the collected debris every few weeks.Another noteworthy aspect is the integration of smart home technology. The Deebot T30S is compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing for voice control. The Ecovacs app provides comprehensive control over the robot’s functions, including scheduling, cleaning modes, and real-time monitoring. The app interface is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to customize cleaning schedules to fit my lifestyle. In terms of noise levels, the Deebot T30S operates relatively quietly compared to other robotic vacuums I’ve used. It’s unobtrusive enough to run during the day without causing significant disturbance, even when I’m working from home or spending time with my family.Overall, the Ecovacs Deebot T30S has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Its powerful cleaning performance, combined with advanced navigation, self-maintenance features, and smart home integration, make it a top-tier choice for anyone looking to automate their home cleaning routine. While it is an investment, the time and effort saved, along with the impeccable cleanliness it provides, justify the cost. I highly recommend the Deebot T30S to anyone in search of a reliable and efficient robot vacuum and mop.

Exceptional performance and features!
I’m genuinely impressed with its overall performance and extensive range of features. The robot’s advanced 3D mapping technology is particularly noteworthy—it navigates my home with exceptional precision, ensuring it covers every corner and crevice. This includes those hard-to-reach spots under furniture and along edges that are often neglected. Given that my home has a mix of hardwood, tile, and carpet, the T30S handles these diverse surfaces effortlessly, adapting its cleaning modes to deliver optimal results on each type. The powerful 3000Pa suction is another standout feature. It excels at picking up a wide range of debris, from fine dust to larger particles and pet hair. As a pet owner, this is crucial for maintaining a clean and allergen-free environment. The suction power ensures that every nook and cranny is thoroughly cleaned, which is a significant benefit in keeping my home in top condition. The multi-surface mopping feature further enhances the robot’s functionality. It provides an extra layer of cleanliness, particularly on my tile and hardwood floors. Although it doesn’t completely replace a traditional mop for deep cleaning purposes, it effectively keeps daily grime at bay and helps maintain a fresh appearance for my floors. One of the most convenient aspects of the T30S is its automatic dustbin emptying feature. After each cleaning session, the robot empties its dustbin into the base station, which has a large capacity that can hold up to 30 days’ worth of dust and debris. This feature significantly reduces the need for frequent maintenance and makes the T30S an excellent choice for busy households where convenience is a priority. The companion app that accompanies the T30S is intuitive and user-friendly. It allows me to set up cleaning schedules, customize specific cleaning zones, and even view real-time maps of my home’s layout. Additionally, the integration with Alexa and Google Assistant adds an extra layer of convenience. I can effortlessly start or stop cleaning with simple voice commands, which is particularly useful for managing my cleaning routine without having to manually operate the robot. While the T30S does come at a higher price point compared to some other models, and its mopping function might not fully address stubborn stains, these are relatively minor considerations in the grand scheme of its overall performance. Despite these small drawbacks, the DEEBOT T30S has significantly streamlined my cleaning routine, making it both easier and more efficient. I find it to be a valuable investment that has greatly enhanced the cleanliness and upkeep of my home.

Good when it works
Positives: 1. cleans well when it works 2. Edge cleaning works well 3. Gives you a report in how dirty the floors were in each room so you can adjust the settings if needed. Negatives: 1. It gets stuck at random places on carpets. So upon need to keep watching while it cleans. If you ain't have any carpets this may not affect you. 2. The unit I received randomly empties the dustbin so I'm left with cleaning the bin everyday, and the bin is so small so it happened to clean with bin being full so it didn't clean well. Reached out to support but had no luck. 3. The design of the brush seem to have an issue. I'm not sure if there was prior damage to the brush that I didn't notice but after few runs I noticed that there was hair on the brush and it also damaged the brush. High suction power maybe have pulled the hairs and damaged the brush but I'm not sure. Support agreed to replace the brush but I decided to return due to the issue with cleaning bin and having to baby sit it.

Pros: Customizable cleaning options Cons: Time consuming to customize Por Tip: BACK UP YOUR MAP
****2nd update**** 11/22/25 T30S Combo The replacement started to not empty into the dustbin and said the bag was full and needed to be replaced. After replacing the bag multiple times it still wasn’t working and then I noticed the handheld wouldn’t release from the base. I followed all the self help steps and contacted support and it still wouldn’t work. I unplugged the unit and let it set for a few months and when I plugged it back in the floor vacuum did auto empty although it doesn’t sound like the motor that sucks the dirt out is running like normal. However at least I am able to use the robot. I paid $900 for this unit and I love it when it works. They have also been easy to deal with on the service side. I would also say the app has had a few updates and works well. It’s frustrating that it isn’t reliable but I do love it when it works. ****Updated**** 20March25 The company did honor their warranty and provided me with a new unit that works just as well as the first one did when brand new. This product does require some time to properly set up and get working the way you want it to. But once you get the house maped, rooms labeled and get the settings where you want them it's fantastic and worth the time to set up. PRO TIP: Once you have your map set up and labeled BACK IT UP. If you leave a door closed for too long, move furniture around drastically it can cause you to have map issues and the robot will start creating a new map. Backing up your perfect map, will save you a lot of time and headache. They did make the warranty process as easy as possible. As soon as they received confirmation that I sent back the old unit, they shipped the replacement. I waited a few months before I updated the review. I will update again after I have used this one for 6 months. January 2025: Purchased this in July 2024 and end of November it started to have mapping issues. Reset to factory and remapped the house and then I started getting bumper stuck errors. I tried to fix this myself, used a can of air and a vacuum to try and blow any dust that might be in the sensor causing the sensor to malfunction but it didn't fix it. I finally took the time to call the tech support. They were very helpful and didn't make me do a bunch of stuff I already tried (which I appreciated). They sent me an email where I had to send proof of purchase, video of the error, and my information and after they review the information if they think it is a warranty issue they will send me a label to send it in to be fixed. This is my third and most expensive robot vacuum. The fist was a samsung that didn't have an auto empty, it lasted three years and died when my daughter moved back home with a golden retrieve. The motor burned up from not emptying the bin. The second was a iRobot Roomba that had the auto empty it lasted two years and then had issues emptying, saying the bag was full when it wasn't. When this came, I loved it, the technology was great when it worked. I loved that it mopped and vacuumed my floors. The hand held vacuum was handy and useful for quick clean ups or to clean the furniture. I purchased it from Amazon because it was on sale and at the best price I could find at $900. I am disappointed that it only lasted 6 months and I am not very hopeful that it is going to last more than a year, once the warranty runs out I will have to purchase another one and I think I will go back to the iRobot. I also think it will be worth purchasing from a different retailer that has more than a 30 day return policy such as Costco.

Cleans thoroughly and saves time
I have been using this vacuum and mop for a few weeks and it has made cleaning my floors much easier. The suction is very strong, so it picks up dust, crumbs, and pet hair without leaving much behind. I like that it can also mop, which helps keep the floors looking fresh between deeper cleanings. The self-emptying station works well and means I don’t have to empty it after every run. The bin inside holds a lot, so I can go many weeks before it needs attention. The battery lasts long enough to clean my whole place in one go. Even on the higher power settings, it doesn’t die halfway through. It also moves around furniture without getting stuck often. When it does run into something, it just adjusts and keeps going. I have a dog that sheds a lot, and the anti-tangle design really helps because I don’t have to pull hair out of the brush all the time. Setup was easy and connecting it to the app was quick. I can schedule cleaning times, choose certain rooms, or send it out for a spot clean when needed. It’s not too loud, so I can still be on calls or watch TV while it’s running. Overall, it’s been reliable and effective, and it has taken a lot of work off my hands. I feel like my floors stay cleaner with less effort on my part, which makes it worth the investment.
