Thermalright AM5 CPU Contact Frame V2

Well made, solid, fits perfectly.

So far so good. We all want the expensive competitor, but I simply could not afford it. The Thermalright is more than good enough for my needs and was a doddle to fit. Obviously I was extremely cautious NOT to overtighten the screws and mine were fine and did not shear. Not tested temps (it is a 7800X3D) it was more about fit, thermal paste and elimination of doubt/abundance of caution.

The plate fits perfectly. Instalation is very easy and straightforward. It comes with the tool and screws in the package and with a small instruction paper. In my case it improved the thermals slightly, on average 2-3 degrees celsius in short intense loads and 1-2 degrees celsius in long intense loads. Highly recommended in any mid-tier or high-end build

I bought this for £5 for my Ryzen 7 9800X 3D, It just do the job, there is no need to spend £30 on a Thermal Grizzly contact frame.

Bought this Thermalright CPU frame as an upgrade for my AM5 setup, mainly to help with temps and mounting pressure. To be honest I never actually got around to fitting it. I’d read a few reviews about screws stripping or giving in and that put me off a bit, even though the frame itself felt really solid and well made when I opened it. It’s now sitting in the drawer with all my spare cables and bits. I didn’t return it because for the price it didn’t feel worth the hassle, and I’d still be happy to install it if I ever decide to go for it. Giving it 4 stars purely because of those screw concerns I saw in reviews, not from personal experience. The product itself looks and feels great, I just didn’t fancy the job in the end.

Does exactly what it should. Easy installation.

Works well with my 9950x3d

Bought this to go with a Phantom Spirit 120 Evo cooler, given the size of the cooler I wanted to give the socket the best support I could. Perfect fit for my 7800X3D & MSI B850 Tomahawk

As title says was not flush with my 9950x3d it works but wouldn’t go in flat

Really easy to mount. Got it as a preventative measure, I have a 9900X3D heard they get pretty hot and can warp a little.. this will prevent that from happening.. also protects all the contacts around the cpu so make applying liquid metal less risky..

I picked up the Thermalright AM5 Contact Frame V2 in black for my 9850X3D, and honestly, it’s worth way more than the measly 7 bucks I paid for it. My main goal was just to keep thermal paste from squeezing into those annoying cutouts on the side of the AM5 heat spreader and it works flawlessly for that. Easy mounting and the fit is snug. The 9850X3D can run pretty toasty, so this definitely helps from what I have seen online. Should also be compatible with what is listed in the description.
