Excellent, Affordable Tool for Gardeners, Experienced or Novice.
I love this product! I use it to manage the pH of my hydrangeas, and to determine if my flower pots need watering. It's so helpful that I bought it for my son. The price point is exactly right!

Perfect - for about a year at least
I really love these things. Easy to use and easy to read, but I swear the moisture reader stops working after a year. It also seems to struggle more in some soils than in other. The pH reader rarely works. It puts everything at a 7, even when a soil test comes back with something different. The light meter is a great, but not something I use very often.

WORKS AMAZINGLY WILL BUY ANOTHER FOR INDOOR PLANTS!
I bought this last year for my outside plants, it works amazingly well especially for the price. This is exactly what I needed for outdoor plants. There's probably 50 different types of this exact meter but I bought this one due to the reviews being good. It detects lightness great, the build and size is perfect for my 30 gallon outdoor plant container. It's very easy to use, pretty self-explanatory and Common Sense. On the box & even on the product page it says to clean the probes every time you use it, I concur. You need to clean it after every use or it's not going to last. NONE OF THESE ARE MADE FOR NEVER CLEANING. I designated one rag to clean this thing when I use it, it's super easy to clean so there's no reason for it to deteriorate or become non workable like some of the bad reviews have stated. It's not the fault of the product, keep it clean. I will be buying a second one for my indoor plants right now.

Use for water testing
I've had it for a few years now. Nice size with long tongs for measuring. Doesn't require batteries which is nice. No installation required and testing speed is fast. Not the fanciest looking item tho and it's great for water measuring, unfortunately that may be it!! It's worth maybe 6.99 taxes included. The water gauge does move "accurately". I've checked before waterings and after. I've also checked in between waterings to ensure the deeper I go the wetter it reads *pause* 😆For lighting, unless you place a light directly against the sensor, there well be little movement. I'm in Ohio and apparently it's always dark 😅 even with sun and grow lights. For the ph 😮💨. First, it's hard to tell my levels as it has never moved from 8. I'm not sure if it's saying it's high alkaline or high acid. I remove the tester, rinsed, I removed the tester, rinsed, dried, and it remains the same, on 8. I've added coffee grounds to past waterings and black tea on other occasions, with no change. On a positive it shows 8 as green, just concerned that some of my plants are more acidic loving vs alkaline.Overall again, great tool for water testing with those who give a little too much care to our 🌱 babies or have those fussy 🥀 plants. AND IT REQUIRES NO BATTERIES.**Note--- clean after testing to deter disease/pest transmission and to stop soiling from drying on prongs. And dry or it may rust. Happy planting 💚

And absolute waste of my time
I'm very unhappy with this product. They claim that if anything is wrong with the product they will do whatever it takes to have a satisfactory outcome. They claim that in transit it often can set the calibration to not work correctly. This is the case I guess for mine. It was completely useless in that I would stick it in the soil, and it would not move in any direction. The light stayed the same the water stayed the same and the pH levels date the same. When I tried to contact them to tell them, to see if we could have a new one shipped, as they claim themselves, nobody got back to me. After 2 weeks of waiting for a response, I decided to return it through Amazon at ups. The reason why, was because Amazon was asking me how my return went, and the longer the time will go, I could have ran out of time to be able to return it within the window time frame. So I ended up returning it, and getting no solution, and getting no response even. So as far as the customer service, they are not what they claim. As far as the products I don't know if it got destroyed in transit, I just know that it did not work. So all in all, I will go with a different meter. Half of my plants are large potted plants, the other half are smaller. It says for best results to stick the probes six to seven inches into the soil for an accurate reading. For all of my smaller potted plants, this would not be possible as the depth of the pot is not even six to seven inches. If it's that easy for the product to get destroyed just by having it shipped and not work when you get it, then I would be more inclined to buy a meter that will come protected and bubble wrap and ensure that it will come to me in working condition. This one just came in a thin little box with no padded protection. That might be the reason why it gets destroyed in transit, as they claim. Definitely far from happy, I have been waiting for a soil meter for so long, and then I went with this one that had such good reviews only to find out that the reviews were completely incorrect.

Must insert most of the rods length
I checked reviews for many is these testers questioning the ph results. I tested in vinegar and read 3.5 with two inches. Just the tip is not enough apparently. That's not reading as acidic as the vinegar probably was but if I had filled a glass higher it would have been more accurate. Most soil is going to be fairly neutral and not move the needle. No batteries needed. Great price.
