Making sure all the remotes are reprogrammed was simple, and now everything works smoothly. I’m glad I found this at a lower price than buying directly from the seller.

I bought this gate opener and did not realize this was the same one that my friend had problems with before. The product does not do what it says it can do. It struggled with a single 85lbs gate and broke after a few months. My friend then bought the upgraded model and it worked for less than two years. I bought her the same one that struggled and didn't last based on what the specs said it can do. When I showed her the gate opener I got she told me that that one will not do what it days and needs the upgraded model. I took the product out of the plastic bag and that is it. I returned it a few days later. No mention of a 50 plus dollar restock fee was even mentioned and even it was posted twice I would be receiving 100% refund. After receiving the fee I contacted the company. Per Amazon they have 48 hours to respond and they didn't for over two weeks. They said the fee was mentioned and sorry. I provided them with proof that no such fee was mentioned and provided them with proof. I asked if it could be waived and told them my intentions was even to buy the upgraded and more expensive model from their company. Its been over a month since i started this conversation with them and no more contact from them. They are just trying to get their shipping cost covered. Beware of the specs not being correct and think about a better brand or upgraded model just to be safe. Her gate is at a slight angle but is not even a third of the weight it says it can handle.

Gate works great remotes are all programmed again and fully functional be happier. Also cheaper here than buying directly me.

Slows down before it gets to stopping point nice feature. Occasionally ghosts (open and closed for no reason) very loud and long beeping before it moves non adjustable sound. Can be very annoying

This was purchased to replace a damaged unit. My brother law hit the gate and bent the shaft of the old one. This one installed a lot easier, not as much wiring to do would have liked to seen a metal hinge on the base of the machine.But hopefully it will work out . Old remote controller match right up.Bought four more remotes they are working fine.

I use this on a metal agricultural style driveway gate which has a wheel on the end opposite the hinge. I have had this installed for about a year and it is still working. I guess that is a plus. I had a previous Mighty Mule of the same size which constantly had water leaking into the housing. It could not handle Florida rain, eventually died. I could have replaced the circuit board but the MM Company does not maintain parts for more than a couple of years. This newer model seems to be a little more water tight. Two things I did not like, MY UNIT ARRIVED WITHOUT ANY REMOTES! Fortunately the old remotes could be programed to run the new gate. Unit seems slower than previous MM I owned and the remote opening distance is variable but mostly less than 50 distance (a negative). IT IS ALSO NOT A SECURE SYSTEM. The antenna box has an off on switch on the bottom. Remotes are easily programed by tuning off the switch then turning on again while holding the button down on a new remote. This means anyone could buy a remote and easily program it for your gate as long as they can reach the control box switch. I may cover the control box with a secure housing but it will have to be custom built. That kind of stinks. This model has a central frame structure made out of some sort of plastic, fortunately that has not been a problem. My previous unit had a very robust aluminum armature which seemed unbreakable. Overall I am relatively happy it works. Not the best unit, not the worst. It works with my previous solar panel and battery set-up, so I did not have to replace that component. UPDATE: 12-10-2025 After the original warranty expiration the MM housing cracked at the wiring end. Apparently the plastic housing serves as part of the MM structure. There was a 1/4 inch gap ever time the gate opened and closed. I tried to epoxy the plastic but it did not hold and the gap persisted. After almost exactly 4 years the unit failed, battery and fuse is fine, made a grinding noise then stopped. The construction of this unit seemed less robust than the first one I bought, which leaked water, and also failed after about 4 years. I am looking for better rated alternatives particularly since the price has increased significantly.

I bought my first Mighty Mule gate opener about 10 years ago and designed my complete gate system around it. It worked great for about six years and then stopped. I bought replacement and it worked about two years and then the controls system went haywire. I purchased this unit last year and in two months it stopped working. I called customer service and a friendly man helped me diagnose the problem and told me they would send a replacement. I even received an e-mail with the shipment details. But...it never arrived. I've tried e-mailing and calling customer service but the calls get disconnected. Unfortunately I guess since my gauge system is configured for this opener I will now have to buy another one. If you need a gate opener and there is anyway to avoid Mighty Mule do it.

Third one in 10 yrs hope is last longer than 3 years

Painfully slow operation, upgrade to the 371 as it has a two speed motor and cuts the opening and closing times in half
