I've gone through quite a few neck fans in the last 5 or so years, and this is one of my favorites.I have a Big/Wide neck, so the main concern for me with a neck fan is how tight it gets, and you can adjust the tightness Very well with this model! You can almost fold it backwards a little bit, it has a pretty flexible neck band, and it still feels relatively secure on my neck as I walk to work. I imagine it might be a little loose if you were sprinting or heavily exercising, in that case you might want a different model that wraps more tightly, which you can get from Coolify as well! I've tried a few of these Coolify models, and the Coolify 2 was a bit too tight for my neck. But this model is a great compromise, and its cheaper than some of their other models. The cooling panel being located only on the Back of your neck, and not on the sides is what I assume made this version less tight around the neck, as you don't WANT the sides to be touching your skin here since they aren't cooling panels like on the Coolify 2.Its very quiet compared to other neck fans i've used, at least on the lower setting, making it great to use in meetings or quiet public places. Though you are trading a more powerful fan for a quieter one.I barely use the Cooling panel, mainly to save battery, but it works well when I do. And I have never used the Heating mode, but i'm sure someone wants a hot neck!Great fan for big necks!

A little over 1 year after my purchase, I pulled the neck fan out of stage as summer temps are here in Central FL. To my dismay, I couldn’t get the fan to take a charge. I reached out to Torras Support, and May was exceptionally helpful and kind. She said that at Torras, they value their customers and have lifetime support and that she would send us a free replacement. Unfortunately, this model was out of stock for them, but they had the newer model and asked if we would be ok with the newer version that has a larger cooling area and better cooling effect. Obviously we said yes, and 2 days later (today) the new version arrived. WOW! The new one is amazing, and I thought the original was already phenomenal!Thank you to May from Torras Support for saving me from a long summer of hot yard work!!

Pro - Adjustable Neck BandPro - Pretty lightweight for what it is.Pro - Pretty quietPro - Peltier Plate on the neckCon - Battery life is about 2.5 to 3 hours - but that's three hours that you aren't miserably hot...To be seen - How it reacts to long term outdoor use, (sweat/dust/pollen).I received this neck fan on a Saturday. High was 85', and humidity was 78%. Not a super breeze to be found. As I had a lot of outside things to do, I figured this would be a good field test. Now I'm a person who gets hot very easily, and can overheat quickly, so I was really interested in how this Coolify worked.I was pretty impressed with what it does. The adjustable neckband is a plus, so you can adjust this thing to where it doesn't feel like it's strangling you. The cold plate on the back of your neck does help greatly. You're still going to sweat, but nowhere near as badly as you would without it. It seems like the fans circulate through the neckband, and pick up some of the cool off of the neck plate, so you aren't just getting completely moving hot air. I see myself using this an awful lot. :) The only real concern I have, is that I sweat an awful lot. You can clean this thing with a damp cloth externally. I'm just wondering how it'll operate with dust and pollen.I haven't tried the heating ability, and probably won't, but the cooling is very welcome. :)

I get hot, in a sweaty, uncomfortable, "are you ok?" kind of way. I saw a lady who was, likely, in her third trimester of pregnancy in a store wearing a neck fan. Typical hot summer, and she was likely overly hot with the pregnancy. Been there. Not fun. But her neck fan was an awesome idea, and, where do you go to find something that's not likely in a store nearby? Well, Amazon!My search showed that there were a lot of neck fans to choose from, so I needed to find features that I liked. I thought a fan was nice, but then this unit was also an "air conditioner" with a cooling plate on the back. That seemed intriguing, and possibly worth the higher price. I could return the item, so I decided to purchase with little to lose. I read reviews and found that most were positive; the negative reviews seemed to be more user issues or misunderstandings of product features.I received the item and found it came with a soft slipcover case and charging cord. I charged it up and read the directions. After charging I turned on the unit. The unit starts up with a low fan, with each time pressing the button the fan increases: first low, then medium, then high, then off. Each fan setting was nice, though I felt that low was very comfortable. Then I turned on the "air conditioner" or cooling plate on the neck nape section. To turn on the cooling plate, I turn on the unit then hold down the button to turn on the cooling plate. I found that reaching the button while the unit was on wasn't comfortable for me. The button is in a suitable place, and I use the L-R directions to put the unit on my left and right sides, but I find it's easier for me to remove the unit to turn it off and on. It'd be awesome if the unit could be controlled with a smartphone/bluetooth.Turning on the cooling plate and setting it on my neck, I can instantly feel the cold plate, and it feels soooooooo nice! I don't know how I can measure to cool down by 18°F in 3 second, but I believe it. I really get hot and flushed sometimes, and I turn this on and turn on the cool plate. It's cooling me down *as soon as* I put it on. It does work and it works *fast*! I like that the fan is bladeless, so my longer hair does not get tangled up on this unit.There are three things I'm not liking about this unit: 1) I would like the cooling plate on without the fan; 2) I would like to have the battery last longer; and 3) I would like to have the fan be a little lower/adjustable as to air direction. As for 1), the product questions, the manufacturer addresses this issue, saying the two work together. As for 2), I really haven't had the battery die on me. I didn't address battery life, but, with the cooling plate, I understand it only lasts about TWO HOURS. I don't use it that long, so battery life just isn't an issue for me! As for 3), I'm still on the fence as to whether this is an issue for me or not. If I'm hot, the air is helpful to provide some air movement around my face/head to cool me off. I suppose it'd be nice to be able to adjust where the air flows on the unit somewhat, but, ultimately, this is something that I'm okay with because I'm highly satisfied with the unit.So, all in all, there's some negative reviews on this product, and the price point is higher for it, which is another detraction. But, my experience with this unit is that it works fantastic and does what it says. I am not sure if I (yet) get hot flashes, but this unit cools me down when I get overheated. I don't use it at the gym/workout, as I'm not sure how it could handle my sweaty workouts, but I've been tempted to try it! I also don't use it all the time, so I have not challenged the battery life, but, really, my use of this product won't be to test its limits. As for rating it for travel: I haven't traveled with it, yet, but I intend to use it the next time I travel.All in all, this product does what it says it does. I love it so much, I am tempted to buy the Coolify 2 since it has two cooling plates and can provide heat, too. This product is worth it!
