StarTech.com 12in Latching Round SATA to Right Angle SATA Serial ATA Cable - 12" Round Latching Right Angle SATA Cable - Improved Air Flow (LSATARND12R1)

Needed an angled SATA connector.

I have used StarTech products on several occasions, the main reason is that I am slightly impatient and want to try out any ammendments to my PC build without having to wait too long. With that said, the main supplier of Sata cables of the correct length via Amazon Prime Now is StarTech.The Sata cable I have purchased come in varying lengths. On this occasion I have purchase the 12 inch right angle connector black and red cable. This is due to my ThermalTake V21 having a lowered platform for the SSD bay. I find that the right angled connector helps with a more firm connection.The cable itself comes curled in a small high density plastic jiffy bag. Once out the bag, both ends of the cable are sealed with caps that need to be removed before installation of your sata cable to your MB and HDD/ SSD. The cable is made of a sturdy rubberized coating that helps to keep the shape of the cable, this will enable it to twist without damage. Both the connections to the straight edge and right angled connector seem strong enough to withstand you detaching the SATA cable via the sleeve of the cable and not the connector (although i don't suggest doing this).StarTech offer a LIFETIME WARRANTY on this cable, so that can't be bad.######Overall######I purchased this to go in my PC build. I ordered it at 3:30 pm the cable arrived at my house by 4:50 pm. I only paid £5 for two of them. They work. They fit the theme of my build. I'm happy.Cheap and reliable tech. I would definitely recommend to other impatient PC builders out there.

Absolutely brill cable, the clicks when you connect it feel right and satisfying, I'm giving it 4 stars, only because even with it being the optimal distance any wire could be in terms of HDD to motherboard... it just about could be coerced, to twist round the side of the case and into the board. It turns out that it's perfect for non wasted cable space in my particular situation. I'm going to have to raise it to five really. Some may have a problem and should get a longer cable if available. It felt like quality and as I say the connectors slot in perfect.I have to give it 5 here but was a bit concerned for any one who might have a longer distance to cover in their case. My case is pretty huge in the first place so I think it'd be unfair because the actual quality is something I cannot fault.I left my comment unedited, I think it's best to do that in this circumstance.

It was cheap, delivery was quick but the colour was a little off, it's a bit more orangy red that winy red which doesn't quiet match my system, everything else as described.So I'll knock a star for the colour.

There isn't much you can say about a 12 inch SATA Cable. I needed this because I smashed up my time capsule and took my HITACHI HDD out, the HDD is 1TB - this isn't relevant. Instead of using the cable to connect the HDD I connected it it to the CD-ROM - anyways the cable wasn't long enough. I had to do some thinking and eventually got around it. Now I have another 1TB HDD in my computer, thanks to this cable. I bought it for a very low price, I expected it to be more expensive. But as I said I got everything working. I highly recommend this cable for anybody. This product is not like the other cables, it's cheap!If your looking at the photos. It's the shortest cable there. The one going through the middle of the photo.

Maybe like an inch extra would've made cable management a bit less troublesome but I managed to twist it around the right way. The right angle connector helped a tonne imo.

Having a custom built PC is great, but the cabling sometimes doesn't make sense. These SATA cables solved the issue straight away and case now looks clean and tidy. Transfer rates as expected for SATA 3 cable. It's interesting that the shorter SATA cables are more expensive than the longer ones though!!
