I am in awe of how detailed each animal is made. My girl is 17 months old and I was looking for a set of animals for her to study and play with. I liked this one the most from those presented on Amazon and I was not wrong in my choice. My daughter has only been playing with them for several days. Simulates the walking of animals, etc. I am satisfied and recommend it. However, I am very concerned about the plastic it is made of and whether it is safe for my child to lick it off. Unfortunately, I couldn't find this information anywhere and for now I'm just trying to prevent the child from licking them, although it doesn't help. She still doesn't listen to me

I’m late writing this review, just fyi clearly these guys have been played with a lot, as you can see in the photos where paint has rubbed off lol. So don’t think these arrived new in this condition, when we first got them they looked perfect. I love the elephant the best. I think the lion face looks a little strange/janky for a Schleich, BUT it’s very obvious in the product photo that his face looks like that so it wasn’t a surprise. I did see there’s a ‘new’ set with a different model of lion(mouth closed) so I would suggest getting that one if you don’t like how the roaring face looks.

Always happy with their products. Kids love "em. Makes a nice gift.

These animals are perfect. They aren’t cheaply made and the eyes specifically stand out as they are very well painted and makes them seem more lifelike, I highly recommend!

I really love the schleich animals but for some reason I feel like this lion’s face is a little weird. I feel like it doesn’t look as good as other animals 🤷🏽‍♀️ but they’re still great quality toys!

These Schleich animals cannot be beat. You can get a cheaper bunch of animals at the zoo gift shop or Target, but Schleich is the best you can get. These animals are highly detailed and weighty. They are worth the extra cost. These things will last for decades.My 2-year-old is rough on them, but they have stood the test. He plays with them all of the time and they have helped him learn about animals and their natural habitat.This is a great starter set. We add in animals from time to time.
