Quality and not expensive
Very good quality branded backpack with a rigid anatomical frame, support for the waist, very good fabric fasteners, and quality seams. For 105 liters, it does not look like a very large, if necessary, the volume can be reduced to 40 liters. That is, you can carry smaller things in a backpack, do not be afraid that it is too big. I had a choice before 85 liters 105 liters. Now I am sure that I made the right choice of 105 hp.

nothing to compare it to
I need a large pack (105L) because I'm not disciplined to pack only essentials. While the storage capacity is adequate, I find the hourglass effect and top-heavy feeling make it less than ideal. Perhaps a design with a deeper, more easily fillable shape would be better. That being said, the pack can hold everything I need, I just need to improve my packing technique.

Best bag I own
This has to be the best camping backpack I have ever bought. The back plate is so comfortable, and the straps are adjustable to hold the weight at your waist in a way that 50lbs total was able to be hiked 8 miles in a day without serious fatigue. I am always amazed at Kelty and a brand, and the quality is no exception.

Great design
Just received my Kelty Coyote 105 liter pack. After reading the mostly great reviews, I opted for this pack. This is the updated 2020 version of the pack. You can stuff your sleeping bag into the bottom compartment, there is a baffle that is not solid, but detachable on three sides to swing open to make for one large sack, but after stuffing the bag into the bottom some of the bag snuck around the baffle. No big deal, just stuff it back from the other side. I will likely use a stuff sack before putting in the bottom anyway. There was a negative review out there that says the bottom pack material is too thin. This is not true. All of the pack material is sturdy top to bottom. The front pocket is actually two pockets. One pocket is accessible with the right zipper and goes all the way across as is the other zipper on the left does also so that the pockets actually overlap with a wall in between. There is a torso adjustment where you loosen the frame from the massive velcro field and slide the frame up to make a longer frame. This makes it for a range of 15 to 20 inch torsos. The pack weight is 5.5 lbs. which is actually slightly lighter that the 75-85 liter packs sold by some much more expensive brands. This will be my goto pack for winter and extended trips. Update: After taking several multi day backpacking trips this year, I can truthfully say that this is the best designed backpack that I have ever owned. I have no complaints. The pack is sturdy and the pockets are convenient to access and the pack is adjustable to any torso.

Comfort and features at a great value
I had to replace my Jansport D2 as it just wasn't comfortable enough any more for my older bones. The pack adjusts quickly, has plenty of room (I got the biggest, the 103L), but with a few pulls of straps, it shrinks down to almost a day pack. The fabric isn't waterproof but with my Northface pack getting sticky on the inside and my D2 flaking off its waterproof treatment, I understand why it was done. You can make the the two compartments one big one and the version I have lets you open the big section without going through the top and pulling gear out. I wish the straps and clasps were a little beefier, but we will see in time whether this concern is warranted. 10.22 update: straps and clasps are fine, no issues. The bottom side pockets could be a little bigger, but they hold a big Nalgene bottle no problem. 10.22 update: wish you could reach a water bottle in the side pockets. Thank goodness it has water bladder capabilities. The big section has a set up for a water bag: a pick for the bag and a little slot out the back for the tube, I hope this works. I wish the two pockets on either of the padded belt were a little bigger and both had zippers but not a deal breaker. As far as comfort goes, I put all the gear I would need for a weekend in the woods barring food and man it just fit like it was part of my back. I did feel some of the weight, of course, but not much. That is probably its strongest asset. 2/8/21 edit: the pads shoulder straps need to be beefed up and the strap that pulls them together doesn't stay in place, will slide up on you. I wish the pockets had double zippers, only the lower compartment does. The zippers also take curved paths, which means they don't open easily. I still like the pack, but it needs some refinements to the design.

Great
This bag is great. It's big, adjustable, and can hold a good bit of weight comfortably.

If you know kelty then you know quality
I have long since been a fan of kelty brand gear and I've never been disappointed. My old 44L bag was too small for my collection of things that I needed on a backpacking trip, so there was no question about getting the 105L it looks really nice and more importantly it holds up well. Let me be perfectly clear though, 105L internal space is a lot more space than one might expect. It has deep pockets and a lot of bells and whistles. I would advise a bag like this for more experienced hiking and backpacking. In addition, because of the size, getting a rain cover that fits it is important. All of the zippered areas operate very smoothly and don't snag. It is a bit expensive, so make sure it's what you want. Lastly because it is available at 105L I would try to avoid filling it out completely, because it is likely going to be very heavy, although the suspension system is nice and allows airflow between the it and your body even when synched down.
