Daughter loves it- fun for 10 and under. Not as fun if you let your kid play on your phone (which we don't) so you may have that to compete with.

Fun and great price!
Best investment for a 7 year old!!!! Was an inexpensive gift and tons of fun. I ended playing it for 20 minutes when I tested it to make sure it was working and got carried away, so much fun!

Briefly satisfies a vague desire for retro games
That's about it. It's got the right style of graphics and sound, but won't likely remain amusing for too long for a few reasons.Many of the games are very similar, some being identical except for the appearance of the enemies (a few have the exact same player rifle). You could cut it down to maybe 30 games and lose nothing.Most of the games are very short. Like 3 levels. So even if you find one you like, it doesn't last long.Though the music is initially satisfying because it sounds just like a low-bit 80s system, there are only a few types of music and sound effects.The display has what I call sideways pixels. The field of view is narrow left-to-right, but very good up-down, so it actually looks better if turned sideways. It's "ok", but not great for long time use.The direction buttons are separate buttons (not a 1-piece d-pad) and made of rubber, so you can't easily slide your thumb back and forth to change direction quickly.If you can get one dirt cheap, it can serve as short-term novelty amusement. But you'll spend more time scrolling through the long list of similar games than actually playing any of them.
