Yes this is a great color for toning down brassiness and orange backlights. Because it's demi, the effect doesn't last forever, but a great way to get a sense of what permanent color is going to do it. If there had been no brassy to tone down, I think the color would be great on its own. Has depth, vibrance and clear tone. Not hard on the hair at all either, which is always a HUGE plus!

I don't even know how this is possible, but it pulls warmth orange/red on pre-lightened hair, even when hair is pre-lightened to pale yellow. Very confusing.
