Big Sound, Rugged Build - Perfect for Seminars & Small Events
The Bose S1 Pro really delivers on performance and versatility. The sound is rich and full, with a noticeable lean toward bass-heavy output. Great for music and voice but something to keep in mind if you prefer a more neutral tone. It’s loud and clear even in open or noisy environments, making it a reliable option for small parties or event settings. I’ve used it for seminars and gatherings, and it performs consistently well across both spoken word and background music. The Bluetooth connection is strong and stable, and the addition of XLR and line-in inputs is a huge plus for plugging in mics or instruments. The built-in EQ is basic (just bass and treble), but it gets the job done for on-the-fly adjustments. Portability is decent. It’s not overly heavy, but it feels like carrying a bowling ball. You can move it around easily, but you probably wouldn’t want to carry it long distances without wheels or a bag. That said, the rugged plastic build feels durable, and I have no concerns about it holding up over time. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, which is great when you're managing sound in a live setting or just quickly adjusting volume between songs. Overall, I give it 5 stars. It’s an excellent choice for educators, small event hosts, musicians, and outdoor users who want reliable sound, great battery life, and versatility in a rugged, compact form factor.

Great overall sound quality. LOUD.
I play my Bass pretty frequently. No, I'm not a pro, nor do I gig at all. Just casual play for about an hour a day. Obviously as a Bass player I enjoy the rich bottoms of a good speaker. I have quite a few Bose products other than the S1. Smaller speakers and a few sets of headphones. I've always enjoyed the quality and balance of the Bose brand. The S1 didn't let me down. For what it is, it delivers. Built solid with great ability to transport. I use it wirelessly with some NUX B-5RC wireless transmitter and receiver system. No dropout, no distinguishable lag or delay, no interference. Literally nothing to complain about, for what it is. I added the backpack as well, which is perfect since I enjoy taking my instrument on the road, wherever I go. It's not heavy or bulky and it has plenty of nice features for the novice that wants to sound like a pro. The bottoms are probably not going to be enough for someone who gigs in challenging acoustic venues but it will do in just about any other situation. This will suffice in a small bar or lounge or more intimate settings. Very clear and clean highs when I used the Bluetooth feature for just listening to a playlist on my phone. If you want to buy a nice backyard speaker, this is it. It kicks but it lacks for the big thump. But I'm a Bass player, so there can never be to much thump for me. I highly recommend.

Outstanding versatile speaker!
I bought it for home karaoke and general use. I was so impressed from the first use. Voice sounds so clear and tone match function is superb! Sounds is just right, balanced with impressive dynamic range (low end starts at 35Hz), it is clearly optimized for vocals - astonishingly precise midrange. Very portable, good battery life and fast charging. Youtube karaoke has never been easier. Have a party at home bring it to friends house. I also used it outdoors in the yard for bday party and it sounded so professional, I got inquires about it from friends. I believe there is nothing like this on the market right now, this is a perfect family party speaker; never thought I’d say this but it could be the first underpriced Bose product ever. I only have two negatives to point out: 1) Mic volume when using wired mics (I use Shure SM58) is not loud enough even at the highest settings - okay for low key not for serious karaoke. When I plugged it my Shure wireless receiver and used it with wireless mics - it was much, much louder. The second negative is that I wish the speaker had a usb or any other power outlet port so I could make it completely wireless by powering my Shure receiver. Overall, I highly recommend this for family use even if you only use mic function occasionally. Forgot to mention, that this speaker has superb built-in mixer; even my Yamaha mixer has nothing like ToneMatch function.

Bose got this right!
As a traveling musician I have to say I'm impressed with this product. Now, I've been a fan of Bose for a long time and have several Bose systems.... L1 M1, 3 L1 M2's, The Compact (Which I sent back because I didn't like), and now three of these S1 pro's. Man I dig these so much! They sound great and louder than one might think due to their size. They are so portable and light to carry. I have used one and now using three for bigger gigs and or gigs with other musicians and singers. For me I like bigger fuller sound and plenty of head room so I set one behind me with a B2 then one in front for monitor. I run an outboard mixer because I use Guitar and kickbox so I need more channels. I sold my L1 M2 to purchase six of these. I picked up six because again for outdoor events where I'm running 3 vocals, 3 gutars (bass), and kickbox I want allot of sound. However I have done an outdoor gig with just guitar and vocal only using one and and people could hear well a half a football field away. Just saying. Anyway I dig this Bose product! And I haven't even mentioned the Bluetooth option... Love that as well. It's great to have it hooked up and be able to hit background music between sets seamlessly. I also like that through Bose connect app I can run two at a time for stereo music. Oh and if you're stacking two to a side for bigger events simply line out with short cable and boom... you're Djing.

Insane sound quality with portability = perfection!
We own a wedding business and provide sound for ceremonies on the beach. We needed portable, yet high quality, and battery powered speakers. We put off purchasing one for several years (and own two speakers from a competitor) but we needed a third and decided to bite the bullet and try out the BOSE S1. Wow. I was blown away. The sheer volume it puts out is incredible. We had a guitarist play for a beach wedding ceremony and the output was clean, crisp, and beautiful. I love the tonematch effects integrated into the speaker and the fact it links to the Bose app. The Bluetooth pairing was simple and worked flawlessly. We have used it for vocalists, instruments, and cueing pre-recorded music and in all circumstances it has exceeded our expectations. For being so small it also provides incredible bass and low ends. I can’t say enough good things about this speaker. If you were considering the cheaper competitor off brand, spend the extra $ and get this speaker. The sound quality alone is 100x greater. You won’t be disappointed!

Buy This Today
Don’t allow the price tag to completely scare you. Let me tell you it will be TOTALLY worth it. I purchased this with the intention of using it for our backyard. I hosted a Halloween party last night and right away I was blown away. The sound was AMAZING. I started its use inside in our living room with a Halloween playlist while guests arrived and right away I was WOWed with the quality of the sound. Specifically it was the bass for me (I am very picky about speakers). Then I took it outside (it is so portable and not heavy at all; it has a great handle to move it around) to provide sound for some movies I was projecting and again blown away by the sound. It almost sounded like we were in the theatre and this was outdoors! If you are looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker, either indoor or outdoors, this is the ONE. Buy it today!!! You will not be disappointed.

Almost perfect.
I bought this speaker as a portable music and karaoke solution. I've been use to carrying around the Bose F1 812 and F1 sub everywhere. Even to small get togethers. The small get togethers are what prompted me to purchase the S1 Pro. The good: Ultra portable sound solution. The sound quality exceptional. The built in EQ and reverb worked well enough for karaoke. The battery lasted 5 hours at a very high volume. I was expecting less even though Bose advertised up to 11 hours. The fast charging is great, but you can't use fast charge while the system is on. Did I mention its portable? The bad: The mids and high ends were perfect. The low end lacked a lot. This is probably done for as much sound clarity as possible. But I really felt the low end was really lacking. I have a Harmon Kardon portable speaker that delivered deeper base than the S1 Pro. I wish the bluetooth and 3.5mm aux channel had some sort of EQ solution as well. It may have helped balanced some of the missing low end. When a song with a lot of base plays at a higher volume, there woofer flutters and sounds extremely bad. If you're looking an extremely portable sound system for karaoke or some live acoustics, this is the perfect balance. If you need something that can deliver base, I don't recommend this speaker at all. I may pair this with a B1 sub for a more rounded sound.

Full Band Scenario
I wanted these to replace the floor wedges (Behringer B112) in my cover band. We have tons of gear so i'm always looking to shrink our footprint and make set up/teardown easier. There were no reviews on Amazon and no videos on Youtube describing whether or not these were adequate for full band use. I decided to reassure other musicians about these. Great sound and plenty loud for our 4 piece. (bass, 2 electric guitars, and a drummer who thinks he's Niel Peart). I run 3x vox and 2x guitars into a Behringer x32 (via kemper and axe-fx) but Bass is out of fender amp and drums aren't mic'd (not even the kick...seriously go away with that noise) Front of house runs through 2x L1 Compact (left and right) and monitors are now 2x Bose S1 Pros. We play both small, large, and indoor/outdoor venues.... sound is plenty loud and crystal clear with more than enough low end. We power on the S1 Pros at 9PM and play 3x 1 hour sets with a 4 song encore.. usually finish between 1 - 2 AM and the batteries still have juice in them. Super light, compact, and 2x less power cables to worry about. If your, considering these.... pull the trigger in full confidence.
