Single Is Not A Curse Paperback – November 1, 2013

I will read this book multiple times just to reflect on being single In reminding myself that it's not a curse it's literally a blessing and that there are good things that come from being single more than anyone could ever know. I'm forever grateful that I came across this book and read it because I need ITIT's simply stairs me in the right pass into count my blessings on all the reasons that will come from taking this path alone and finding myself all over again I love this book

This book prompted me to take action. I like how well the author understands his audience. However, I chose 4 stars because I expected a book for singles to focus more on the lifestyle of a single person. For example, I would’ve liked if there was a chapter on each one of the five F’s. Nevertheless, that chapter was probably the most instrumental and now I am more confident that being single is a gift.

I've read so many books on dating and relationships and I was going to bypass this one until I read the sample on Kindle. I had to keep reading. This is my first Tony Gaskins Jr book. Being totally honest the point made about how we fall for someone who does not like us in the same way yet run away from someone who shows interest in us because we are searching for the man or woman of our imagination made me pause and think. I've bypassed some pretty amazing men with my eyes on Mr. Unavailable (the man whom I believe would make an awesome mate). I have an amazing six-figure salary career. I'm very attractive. I have a blog etc., the reason I'm still single is that I hoped that one day Mr. Unavailable will finally recognize me...that day has and never will happen. This book is about that...dealing head on with real issues! A must read!

I liked how Tony never claims to be something he is not in this book. He gives guidance based on evidence of his trials and one on ones with real people. Not going off of a bunch of books and tests read and given a “title”. No disrespect to certified professionals. A lot of times people can relate a lot better from actual experiences. This book has taught me to be PATIENT! Something that’s hard at times because I’m such a “go-getter”. I want to know what I did, when I did, what can I do etc. sometimes you have to Let go and Let God! “The 5 F’s” and “Three B’s” are paramount.

A gr8 buy ! So insightful and has given me a whole different perspective on being a single woman ! Being single is a gift and should be embraced ( It's not a CURSE ) ! During this period of time we establish a relationship with God, work on and learn to love ourselves ! Know our worth ! We are Queens and need a King in our life not a grown boy ! Prepare ourselves and wait on a real man that deserves to be with women like us..... This is a must read for all single women ! Get it together ladies

Good book for anybody that is single. Uplifting for anybody that is feeling down for being single. If you need more insight the author has a Youtube channel that has more videos to guide you. Highly would recommend.

I'm just starting the book and believe it will be "5 stars" based on the information and delivery. However, I am giving 4 because in the first chapter, the author took an unnecessarily redundant u-turn to make a contextual statement, then restate it with an attribution to himself, before reminding people that his statement had become popular and the reader should be certain to know that he is the one who made it. See? Like that. A little too self-agrandizing over a run on sentence. But trust me, if I hear it in the street, I will remember that he said it (first?).

I read this book in two days. I could have finished it in one if I didn't have other things that had to be done. This was not what I expected at all. I thought it would be a bunch of touchy feely love yourself advice. Tony gives real examples to show you perspective and even talks about his relationship with his wife which is inspirational. There was nothing new about this book but all the perfect reminders of what you should do while single. Take your time to improve yourself and spend your time wisely. Don't just sit back waiting for some dude to show up. The biggest "aha" for me was the question asking am I ready should he show up tomorrow (paraphrasing of course)? The honest answer is no and now the work begins. When I'm ready, he'll show up and if he doesn't...well that's alright too.

I like this book for the good information it gave on how to self develope, and that is easy to apply to self.

Great book! Short and straight to the point. I also like the exercises, good thinking points!

Another book from Tony Gaskins that I absolutely loved reading. As his other book MR Right, it is simple to read and really on point

I would highly recommend this book. It definitely enlightened me in many ways as I didn't know a whole lot about how to make relationships work before I came across the writings of Tony Gaskins. I would also recommend "Mrs right" & "The New Guy Code"
