Another Great Speaker from Ultimate Ears!
I’ve owned several UE Boom models over the past 10 years and have purchased them as gifts for others. The MegaBoom is my favorite with its rich 360 degree sound, long battery life, and the fact that it’s waterproof and floatable out at the pool. I’ve never actually plunked one in the pool (I’ve used it in the shower though), but I feel confident knowing if it got knocked in, it would be fine.Party Up through the app is amazing and getting even better over the years — I don’t recall the stereo option, but I now can either mirror the speakers so that each has all channels, or I can opt to put them in stereo mode which is pretty darn cool. I would still like UE speakers if they were only standalone devices, but the fact that I can link up to 150 devices and place them in various places for gatherings makes it an undeniably great product! I’ve even borrowed extras from family & friends for big parties.I just bought a new MegaBoom 4 and thought it would be fun to compare to my MegaBoom 3. Honestly, they’re both amazing, and while I could hear a little more depth of sound from the 4 (maybe), the sound was very very similar. If you own a 3, adding a new one is great, but I probably wouldn’t recommend spending on a new one simply to upgrade.I was a little disappointed that the 4 can’t use the Power Up base. It has a USB-C connection, but no ability to dock to a base. I suppose that really shouldn’t matter, but I’ve just found it much easier to ensure it’s always charged if I plop the speaker on its dock and not having to fish out a cord that has fallen behind a piece of furniture because I unplugged the speaker. Silly? Yeah, I know. It’s just a personal preference and I wish they had kept that feature. The MegaBoom device does not have a mic, so it cannnot be used for 2-way communication. The 4 does have the ability to speak into your phone and broadcast your voice through the speaker using the Ultimate Ears app.If you’re in the market for a new portable Bluetooth speaker, don’t hesitate — it’s absolutely worth it. Hint: they’re pretty much indestructible, so if you find one on Amazon Resale (formerly Amazon Warehouse), it’s a great way to get one at a terrific bargain and it’s likely in good shape.Floating in the pool is going to be even better this summer. Can’t wait!

Great Speaker For a Great Value
I have been a fan of UE Boom speakers for some time. My old speakers are UE Booms - no numbers or descriptors. Back then there was only one speaker in the lineup . The sound is still AMAZING.But the Megabooms are that much better. Much deeper sense of the music. Broader response and reproduction. And they were a good price.I highly recommend these speakers. Able to leap tall buildings with a single bound, disguised as mild mannered speakers, able to rival large sound systems.Great product - great value.

Only a few days in but it's been better than the Bose SoundLink flex
I don't generally write many reviews, as I'm quite critical, but I want to shout out this excellent portable speaker. It's been extremely user friendly, far easier to set up and use the Bluetooth features than my previous Bose or JBL. The sound quality isn't as good as my $400 Bose, but for the discount I bought this at, it's perfect for my daily needs. I highly recommend it if you're in the market for a solid sounding, easy to use Bluetooth speaker under $200. You can't be at the quality for the price. I'll update the rating if this thing dies in the next few years, otherwise I'm looking forward to using this for some time.

Good price, good choice
Does not support Alexa, Google. Sound is ok, Bose would probably be better (but not Revolve II Soundlik which I already have and has miserable sound). Connectibility OK. Stall haven't tried app yet.

UE!
The mega boom is excellent! Bluetooth setup was quick and the sound quality is excellent as usual. This was a replacement for the boom I've had for 7 years. No regrets.

Honestly NOT worth the high price
I found this speaker very unimpressive for the exhorbitantly high price. I expected a top end sound with depth and base. There was not. Sound was “tinny” and the speaker dramatically lacked any kind of bass. I tried multiple songs and music genres from my playlist. Comparing it to my $80 Bose Soundlink II and the Bose sounded as good if not better. This is just a fair speaker, nothing in particularly outstanding about it, tho you may like the app for controlling it. I returned mine within a half hour and went with the JBL charge for the same price. I expect that feelable bass and depth from that product. This Ult Ear product would be decent if it were priced at around $100, but no more.Update: As stated I got the CHARGE5 from JBL and it costs around the same as this one. BUT the sound was dramatically superior to the (not so) Ultimate Ears MegaBoom speaker for $200. I’m extremely glad I made the switch to JBL, I get nothing from them for this, except the all around higher quality sound with an appropriate amount of sub woofer to it.If you’re considering which one, then go with the JBL Charge of the Flip is a little cheaper but I do not have one of those. Speaking of cheaper, like I said before, the Bose Soundlink Color 2 is a great quality compact speaker for less than $100, that puts out a rich depth kind of sound. I was hugely disappointed with the Ult Ear, especially at that price point.

Amazing sound quality and pairing options, update 2nd speaker…
Sounds even Better than I expected! I own a UE Boom 2 and the UE Mega Boom 4 sounds far beyond my expectations. Pairing multiple UE speakers together is making the music even better. Going to buy more so each room has one.Update.. I added a second identical UE Mega Boom 4 for stereo sound and multi room use. Even happier with my purchases now. Bluetooth range is excellent even through multiple walls.. The Bluetooth range has exceeded my expectations and needs of 100 feet plus.

Logitech portable bluetooth speaker
Great speaker! Rates well. Second one I had. 1st one melted in a house fire, but still worked. I liked it enough to buy another.
