The meter was clocked up to 19.4 hours to match the boat's hours when it came out of the shop for it's first oil change/service. That went pretty well. Installation is easy as long as you can determine where to connect the "plus" side of the meter. That connection must only have voltage when the engine is switched on - it doesn't have to be running, just when the key is in the "on" position. I don't want to confuse anyone by stating it that way, but that is a correct way to think about it. I cannot rate the accuracy because I just got the meter installed on 4/10/22. Next year for the 100 hour service I'll see how well it matches the onboard engine computer reading. Most important thing is the make sure you get the DC meter version for cars, boats, lawn equipment, etc. and the AC version for something around the house like a sump pump.
