800 flash cards with approx. 1,800 words, phrases and example sentences Effective 5-step method Clearly arranged according to topics All vocabulary accompanied by phonetics, example sentence and English translation Essential vocabulary for beginners Review: It would have been less frustrating to write my own - When they said there were sentences or phrases to put the words in context, I assumed they would make sense AND be translated. Unfortunately, for even the simplest of words, like ich, nein, and ja, they have the most convoluted sentences, which you need to translate yourself, in order for there to be any context. So, I went through and taped over the distracting translations in other languages on the back and wrote out the English translations I had to do myself. There are also plenty of duplicates thrown in, so you aren't getting 800 unique cards. They say the best way to learn is in short sessions, yet their example shows a month-long schedule of 25 to 40 cards a day! The collection also includes some pretty nonessential words, like half-a-dozen types of grade schools or high schools, and various graduation certificates(??) I would have been better off just writing my own cards. Review: ¡Excelente! Solo que las tarjetas no son como en las fotos de ladescripción - El kit está muy bien, dice que viene en inglés pero en el reverso de las tarjetas viene en 4 idiomas. Lo único que viene en inglés es el intructivo con los ejercicios sugeridos. Me gusto para practicar mi alemán.

It would have been less frustrating to write my own
When they said there were sentences or phrases to put the words in context, I assumed they would make sense AND be translated. Unfortunately, for even the simplest of words, like ich, nein, and ja, they have the most convoluted sentences, which you need to translate yourself, in order for there to be any context.
