Good bootstrap to RHEL/Centos 7 For 6 Users, 140 Pages: Not A Comprehensive 600+ Page Reference
I found this book on RHEL/Centos 7 a useful book when moving from a RHEL/Centos 6 background. 7 has made changes that are significant from a systems management standpoint. This book has helped me get up to speed and given me some good reference material. It IS a concise reference. At just 140 print pages do not expect this to compare to other RHEL reference books upwards of 600 pages. On the other hand it's pretty quick with this book to know if what you want is in here - just less to search. This leaves my desire for a universal reference unsatisfied, but it has given me what I needed. One thing which is be more Kindle's issue than the author's are the illustrations. It's like they are sized for the smallest possible device and when viewing them in the Kindle cloud reader they are too small to read. When I zoom by browser they get fuzzy long before being readable. Luckily I have enough background and a Centos 7 system handy so I can bring them up on my own screen at full size. Amazon: you listening? It would be a big improvement to zoom illustrations in ebooks! In conclusion I think this is a good bootstrap book to help someone familiar with RHEL/Centos 6 to jump to 7. I would have liked it to be one of those comprehensive reference books, but it did give me what I need. I'm giving it 4 stars. If I could I'd give it half a star more, but no half stars on Amazon!

Poor editing, grammar and writing.
First, this is more written like a cookbook than a book on introducing you to Red Hat / CentOS / Fedora. 90% of the content on pages are command examples. Secondly - the author must have written this book in a different language and it translated over to English very poorly. Every sentence where the word "the" would be required, is missing the word, punctuation is missing and/or poor, and incorrect iterations of words are used (to vs two vs too). This makes it a generally very painful read.As a CLI reference, it's probably not too bad. But god, don't read it expecting to learn anything.

New changes from RedHat 6 to 7
Good overview of command changes from 6 to 7, there are some grammar errors but you get the technical aspect more or less. Some areas do need clean up, as they are missing the right command but if you follow along you can spot them easily.

Keine Empfehlung
Dieses Buch ist eine eher unstrukturierte Zusammenfassung vieler RHEL/CentOS–Themen und in rudimentären Englisch geschrieben. Schade, denn der Anfang war aus meiner Sicht ganz gut.
