I went from 221 overall cholesterol (4/2025) to 136 ( end of 5/2025) I'm on my 2nd bag and I take 3 a day one after each meal.

I had high cholesterol results and taking these and watching my diet, it dropped over 80 points in a month. Very happy! Taste is okay. Not like a tootsie roll, unfortunately, but worth it for the health benefits.

Although the cost may seem high to some, they are a good value for the money. Consider the fact that, unlike statins, there are essentially no side effects. Before I started on Benecol chews, my total cholesterol was 233, LDL was high and HDL was low. Since starting them, total cholesterol has dropped every time I have it checked. It is now 168, a drop of 65 points and HDL, LDL and triglycerides are all within normal range.

In taking Benecol I have observed a drop in my LDL numbers, which is great.My only complaint about this products is: too much sugar in it. 11 grams is a large sugar intake and could lead to creating another problem while solving one.

I have used these chocolate chews for years. I recently started using the buttery spread also. The chews are a delicious way to help with my cholesterol problems since I am unable to take medication due to serious side effects.

My daughter, an RDA, recommended I start on Benecol. I had blood work done after only a month and saw a small improvement in my cholesterol levels. Should be interesting to see the effect after 6 months.

I have only been using this for a couple weeks. I cannot say if it has any effects on lowering cholesterol. I can update my review in a couple of months on that. A serving is 4 pieces. The pieces are individually wrapped. The chews have a good chocolate taste. It does seem to take a few minutes to get these chewed up completely. Nothing negative there. Just something I have observed. One negative thing is this has a lot of carbs. And the 4 pieces are 90 calories. That is a lot, especially if you are watching weight. To get the amount of plant stanol you need, you would need to do the full serving. These chews are expensive, but if they work, I would rather pay the price for this as to take a statin. I will update my review in a couple of months as to if it seems to have made a difference in cholesterol numbers. I am actually only doing this every other day. Alternating with another cholesterol chew. But I will be purchasing this again when this bag is almost gone.As I promised I am updating my review. And changing the stars from 5 to 1. These have no effect on lowering cholesterol. I eat very healthy but my cholesterol is considered elevated. I refuse to take a Statin so I found this and wanted to try that. When my lab work was done this year my cholesterol was actually 2 points higher so using these did not lower anything. And again, I am very strict in what I eat and how I eat.I do still stand behind the product having a great taste. But if you are looking for something to actually lower your cholesterol this isn’t going to do it. Andit is too expensive for me to try it again.
