This is a beautiful chess and checkers set with a classic look. The magnetic pieces stay securely in place, which makes it great for travel or playing on an uneven surface. The board folds neatly for storage, and I really like that the game pieces store inside in their own built in drawers instead of loose in a box or bag. Everything feels well made and thoughtfully designed. I was originally hoping for a more traditional solid wood set, but the construction is sturdy, the finish is attractive, and the overall presentation exceeded my expectations. It's engineered wood so it's actually a better product due to not having to concerns for warping. It looks great displayed on a table and is just as enjoyable to play. I keep it on a braided table mat so it slides easily without scratching the table, and it makes a really nice display piece when not in use. Will upload better photo.

This Beautiful Peradix Magnetic Chess & Checkers set is a great mix of style and practicality. This is such a grear board game. My son takes it everywhere he goes to play with his friends. The magnetic feels nice deffenatly great as a gift to give as well.

My kids and I love this chessboard. It's so nice that the pieces are magnetic and the board itself is beautiful. We love that the pieces are kept in a drawer that goes with it. Definitely worth the price. We will have this forever.

This is a really nice chess set. The drawers have cutout foam that holds each piece and the magnetic feature is great! My son is 8 and the magnet eliminates a lot of frustration. The size is perfect and we are currently displaying the board in our living room when it isn’t being used. It isn’t heavy at all and seems pretty durable. We have dropped a few pieces already and they held up well. Overall, this is a great find for the price. The only complaint we have is that the checker pieces aren’t magnetic.

He comprado este tablero como un regalo para mi padre y no podríamos estar más contentos. El tablero es precioso tal y como se muestra en la fotos, se nota que es de madera de verdad, e incluso se puede oler en enlacado al abrir los cajones. Lo mires por donde lo mires, tiene unos acabados espectaculares. Las piezas de ajedrez, aunque sencillas en su diseño también están a la altura. La única pega que le veo son las fichas de damas, muy pequeñas en relación al tablero y pesan muy poco, parecen de plástico, y desentonan con la enorme calidad del resto. Por lo demás para nosotros es un 10/10 y, por supuesto, lo recomendamos.

Este ajedrez de madera no plegable es un excelente tablero para partidas casuales o análisis en espacios más o menos reducidos sin superficies firmes. He aquí una reseña de este tablero, con sus puntos buenos y malos. Puntos negativos: 1. Es un ajedrez algo pesado y voluminoso. Al ser de una pieza de madera de 30 cm de lado con cajones a los lados, se puede complicar un poco su traslado. 2. De no prestar atención a los cajones, se pueden abrir y tirar las piezas. Puntos positivos: 1. Todo el juego (tablero, cajones y piezas) está muy bien elaborado y tallado. No hay astillas ni defectos de fabricación. Los fieltros colocados en las bases de las piezas ayudan a su deslizamiento y disminuyen el riesgo de rayar la superficie del tablero. Los dos tipos de madera contrastan muy bien y no cansan la vista. 2. Los imanes de las piezas son fuertes y éstas se fijan bien al tablero. 3. Los cajones ayudan a guardar las piezas cuando no están en juego, se deslizan muy bien, y el diseño interno ayuda a verificar si faltan piezas. Ampliamente recomendado y aunque su precio es elevado en comparación con otros ajedreces de su clase, la atención al detalle y la calidad de su manufactura ampliamente lo compensan.
