It definitely brought me fond memories of my childhood visits to Mexico. The best part is that you can have the mole sauce without spending hours in the kitchen preparing it. The time consuming work has been done for you. All you have to do is add as much broth as you want to dilute it- depending on the consistency you want. I wanted a thinner consistency, so I added 4 cups of chicken broth and let it simmer for about 15 to bring out the nice smoky chile flavors . I used the black mole sauce to make chicken enmoladas (similar to enchiladas) .My family absolutely loved them. I was really missing Oaxaca as I am unable to travel due to the pandemic, so I looked online to make recipes and find mole. This product was excellent to use since I couldn’t find the peppers I needed to make the mole from scratch. It makes enough for about four meals or if you have a bigger family than mine and love lots of mole it would probably serve for one or two meals. It tastes just like it does in Oaxaca!
