Very high quality
I am extremely pleased with the product it has outstanding quality of parts: the hdmi cables were great; they even included a Velcro cable tie. The pi case was solid metal, with a solid feel and well thought out and designed. Parts were included for standoff, on/off switch, heat transfer tape, a very nice carry case was provided as well. Also, of good quality! All the parts worked as advertised. Finally, there was a nice manual provided that was helpful in setting up the raspberry pi 5. A 128G SD card was provided and I think loaded with the OS, but I didn't try that. I just downloaded the latest. Very satisfied with the product.

Amazing little computer, so many uses
It has been a blast getting this kit and seeing what a raspberry pi can do. I'm new to this ecosystem so I don't have a baseline of if it is any better or worse than any other variations of this, but coming from windows and just dipping my feet into the raspberry pi world has been fun. The raspberry pi OS imager application can help you load up different OS's for different purposes. One microsd I have the raspberry pi OS, another Ubuntu, another recallbox for gaming. Most tasks work surprisingly well for such a low cost machine. You can run VS code for programming, it works as a legit webserver, gaming on recall box runs well, watching movies works well on raspberry pi OS, but not great on Ubuntu. You can even run local large language models (such as llama3.2) on this at around 5.14 tokens / second. A token is like a word or phrase when generated by a LLM. So generated output at a comfortable reading pace. Surfing the web runs fine too, watching videos or streaming services. I'm sure there's dropped frames here and there, but I haven't noticed any significant issues in that regard (except when I was running via Ubuntu). I took this with me traveling recently and used it on the hotel tv as a computer, it's extremely portable! Overall, it's just a fun little computer to tinker with. I am honestly considering getting another one, though I probably don't actually need two! It's amazing how far we've come in technology. If I were a normal computer user that just needs to check email, watch online videos, maybe run a few programs, this would be probably more than sufficient. Obviously this isn't going to be great for modern gamers, unless they are into retro gaming then it would be perfect. While this won't replace my main computer, this is great to have set up anywhere around the house that I want an additional computer to browse on. I could see hooking this up to a TV as a permanent fixture too. Just a fun, amazing, low powered, but high usefulness, computer.

Great Raspberry Pi 5 kit !!!
Really nice Pi5 kit. Everything you need to get started. It does have a small fan in the included case, but the case is too small if you plan to add the better full board RPi/heat sink, so ordering only the components you will actually need from them might work better for you. This RPi 5 is super fast, runs cool, has a quiet fan and has dual 4k monitor capability. It supports the "Raspberry Connect" secure remote connection from any Internet connected computer/browser. Would recommend this to anyone who would like to have a high performance Pi.

Fully loaded! Great option
absolutely thrilled with this kit, purchased to run my CNC out in the shop so i was impressed with the metal case. dual cooling with the included heat sink and fan, and the portable micro SD adapter. I only had/have 3 concerns with this item, but not worth demoting a star for. first, it comes with a camera module adapter, I think this is a toss in, more value for the cost but definitely didn't need to be in the kit in my opinion, and the second the ports are extremely tight, it is very difficult to plug in and remove cords specifically the micro HDMI, not a game stopper, as I just attached a pigtail so I can extend the life on the PI. and lastly, the SD card came preloaded with PI IOS, I was having issues loading programs on it, and a couple other issues but I just re-flashed it from the PI site and runs perfectly

Great way to get into using a Raspberry Pi as a Homebridge hub
The kit was fairly simple to put together and the device worked perfectly for what I need. I really appreciate the additional parts of the kit like the USB writer for the micro-SD card and the HDMI cables. It was also really easy to follow the directions to set up the SD card to run Homebridge on the device.

Instructions are missing/incomplete; Imaging hardware encounters problems
The quality control on this product is abysmal. The instructions are missing, inaccurate, or incomplete. The kit comes with an SD micro card, and you are asked to image it with a raspberry pi OS. Trying to image the card from the PC produced a litany of errors. From "cannot format disk" , to "you do not have permissions to format the card"... but it does it anyway!?!?!? The instructions for connecting the fan are just plain wrong. The product refers you to online videos on how to install the fan hardware, but does not give a url link to the appropriate videoe. Searching for the video shows that to connect the fan you need to connect wires from the fan to pins 0 & 14... but the fan already has a connector attached to the fan wires that are in no way compatible with either the board, nor can you connect the wires ( it does not say which). This kit is not worth tyring to work around all of the deficiencies in the instructions DO NOT BUY... unless you like frustration

Great little supercomputer
This set started me. A week later I went Pironman. Im having SOOOO much fun playing with both Vilros, and Sunfounder how to's; that I have become an addict. Take a good look on google AND Youtube, theres so many things this can do; let alone if your children get into it.... How bad would it be, if your kids learned debian, ubuntu, or linux; as some kind of hobby?? If colledge fails, theyll still have IOS programming know how, which nowadays, is EVERYWHERE! The price is very reasonable, too. Thank You. Semper Fi!! t( '.' t) The MAD Scientist is IN!!!* (*Dual 7 Inch MageDok Touch, shown)
